The purpose of this study is to derive the perspective of art instructors from the perspective of elementary school teachers and their role in strengthening art education. The research results are as follows. First, there are four main types of elementary school teachers’ perception of art instructors: recognition of artistic expertise, suspicion of pedagogical expertise, questions about cooperative classes, and lack of information on art instructors. In general, it can be seen that there are more negative aspects than positive aspects of the research participants' perceptions of art instructors. Second, although the negative perception of the culture and arts instructor system persists, the related system has not been improved and has not been resolved. Third, the role and authority of the cultural arts instructor is not clear. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to strengthen the lack of professionalism of each subject of culture and art instructors and teachers. The connection between culture and art instructors and teachers should be strengthened. The course consultation process between culture and art instructors and teachers should be regularized. In particular, there is a need for placement of instructors in specific grade groups.

본 연구에서는 초등교사들의 입장에서 예술강사에 대한 시각과 초등교사들의 예술교육 강화를 위한 역할을 도출해내는 데 있다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등교사들이 예술강사에 대 한 인식은 크게 4가지, 예술적 전문성 인정, 교육학적 전문성 의심, 협력수업에 대한 의문, 예술 강사 정보 부족을 들 수 있다. 대체적으로 연구참여자들의 예술강사에 대한 인식은 긍정적인 부 분보다 부정적인 부분이 많은 것을 알 수 있다. 둘째, 문화예술강사 제도에 대한 부정적 인식이 지속되지만, 여전히 관련 제도의 개선이 되지 않고 있어 해결이 안 되고 있는데, 그 원인은 예 술강사의 전문성에 대한 신뢰성 부족으로 볼 수 있다. 셋째, 문화예술강사의 역할과 권한이 명 확하지 않다는 점이다. 따라서 문화예술강사 및 교사 각 주체의 결핍된 전문성을 강화하기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 문화예술강사와 교사의 연계를 강화시켜야 한다. 문화예술강사와 교사와의 수 업 협의과정을 정례화해야 한다. 특히 특정 학년군에서의 강사 배치가 필요하다.
