This study reviewed the current state of teaching the gutgeori jangdan shown in elementary school textbooks, and examined the problems of gutgeori jangdan teaching for elementary school students and improvement plans based on it. The results are as follows. First, we looked at the contents of the gutgeori jangdan in elementary school music textbooks for each of the 8 publishers. The result indicated that the gutgeori jangdan is mainly introduced in the sixth grade course in the form of jeongganbo including janggu marks, gueum, and accents and appears four times on average for each publisher based on the unit or song materials. Also, it was found that the gutgeori jangdan mainly appeared in the form of accompaniment to vocal songs, and activities such as singing along with the gutgeori jangdan or singing while playing the gutgeori jangdan are mainly suggested Next, the contents of elementary school textbooks revealed the following problems in teaching the gutgoeri jangdan such as lack of exposure to the gutgeori jangdan, inconsistency between gueum and actual notation, insufficient explanation of special playing techniques and lack of activities, lack of activities in various jangdan forms, and incompatible accent marks. Finally, as a way to improve these, the contents of the gutgeori jangdan and the teaching method were presented respectively. Improvement plans for the gutgeori jangdan contents include rearrangement of the gutgeori jangdan contents by grade level, notation faithful to the technique of rolling a stick, and changing gueum of the technique of rolling a stick. Improvement plans for teaching the gutgeori jangdan include teaching gutgeori jangdan variations, step-by-step instruction of the technique of rolling a stick, and effective teaching of special performance techniques. It is hoped that this study will be helpful for effective teaching of gutgeori jangdan in the field of elementary education, and it is expected that in-depth follow-up research will continue.

이 논문은 초등 음악교과서에 나타난 굿거리장단 지도의 현황을 살펴보고, 그를 바탕으로 초등학생 대상 굿거리장단 지도의 문제점과 그 개선방안을 고찰하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 8종 출판사별 초등 음악교과서에 수록된 굿거리장단 관련 내용을 살펴보았으며, 그 결과 굿거리장단은 주로 6학년 과정에서 장구 부호와 구음, 강세 등이 포함된 정간보 형태로 소개되고 있으며, 단원이나 제재곡 기준으로 출판사별 평균 4회 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었 다. 또한 굿거리장단은 가창제재곡의 반주 형태로 주로 등장하고, 굿거리장단에 맞추어 노래 를 부르거나 굿거리장단을 치면서 노래 부르는 활동이 주로 제시되고 있음도 알 수 있었다. 다음으로 초등학교 교과서에 나타난 내용을 바탕으로 굿거리장단 노출 빈도 절대적 부족, 구음과 실제 악보의 표기 불일치 문제, 특수 주법 설명 미흡과 활동 부족, 다양한 장단꼴 활 동 부족, 호환성 부족의 강세 표시 등을 굿거리장단 지도의 문제점으로 제기하였다. 마지막으로 이를 개선하기 위한 방안으로 굿거리장단의 내용과 지도 방안을 구분하여 제 시하였다. 굿거리장단 내용의 개선방안으로 굿거리장단 지도내용의 학년별 재배치, 주법에 충실한 채굴리기 주법 표기, 채굴림 구음 변경을 제안하였고, 굿거리장단 지도의 개선방안으로 다양한 굿거리장단꼴 지도, 채굴림 주법의 단계적 지도, 효과적인 특별 주법 지도법을 제 안하였다. 이 연구가 초등교육 현장에서 효과적인 굿거리장단 지도에 도움이 되기를 바라며, 심도있 는 후속연구가 이어지기를 기대한다.
