초록
영어
The purpose of this study is to analyze reporting frames of the Chinese media on COVID-19. It is no exaggeration to say that the People's Daily is responding to and promoting the outbreak of infectious diseases by reflecting the ideology of the central leadership as a party organization. In particular, the editorials of state-run media reflect the political perceptions and positions of the central leadership. To this end, we looked at the Korean translation of the People's Network editorial, the official site of the People's Daily. With an analysis of a total of 88 Korean translations related to COVID-19, it was confirmed that the Chinese media's reporting frame on COVID-19 was focused on hate discourse. The fact that the People's Network's overseas version of the editorial set a lot of COVID-19 agendas suggests that the central leadership valued the COVID-19 agenda. The analysis results show that the Korean translations of the People's Network in the early stages of COVID-19 used expressions from the Korean media such as 'Wuhan pneumonia' and 'Infection from China,‘ There has been a growing number of reports blaming 'them' for the infection.
