This study was conducted to examine the effects of reforming departments according to the PRIME-CORE project on the satisfaction of general education and learning outcome. The samples were taken from 2,090 university students and this research compared the growth of dependent variables for 2 years (2017~2018) among three different student groups. 3-Level Multi-level Modeling was adapted to find the effects of reforming departments on outcome variables. In the case of satisfaction with general education, the Expansion and Establishment of the department’s first level was lower than the comparison groups. As a result of the analysis of the growth model, comparison groups showed negative growth or did not show significant growth. However, the Expansion and Establishment of the department group showed significant growth in 2018, and a difference was found in the growth of satisfaction maturity during the 2017-2018 period among the three groups. Also, the same results were found on the variable of learning outcome.

본 연구는 PRIME-인문학진흥 사업에 따른 학과 개편이 인문교양교육의 수업만족도와 수업효과 성장에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴보았다. B대학에 재학 중인 2,090명(2017년 1,075명, 2018년 1,015명)을 연구대상으로 2017년부터 2018년까지 동일 설문을 실시하여 2시점 유사종단자료를 구축하였다. 학과유 형에 따른 종속변인의 성장궤적 차이를 확인하기 위해 3수준 다층모형으로 분석하였다. 인문교양교육 수업만족도의 경우, 초기 수준은 확대⋅신설학과 집단은 비교집단에 비해 낮게 나타났다. 성장모형 분석 결과, 비교집단은 역성장을 보이거나 통계적으로 유의한 성장을 보이지 못했지만, 확대⋅신설학과 집단은 유의한 성장을 보여 학과에 따른 수업만족도의 차이가 나타났다. 인문교양교육 수업효과의 경우도 초기 수준은 확대⋅신설학과 집단이 낮았지만 1년 사이 두드러진 성장성을 보였다.
