The purpose of this study is to identify the recovery factors of adult male sexual addict and to suggest a therapeutic intervention for the recovery of sexual addiction. In-depth interview with sexual addict who were selected through reputational case selection were conducted and the collected data were analyzed by life history research method. The results and suggestions are as follows. First, adult male sexual addiction caused by a combination of various causes. Second, it is important to be aware of sexual addict in order to recover from sexual addiction. Third, physical environment change, spouse's beliefs, hobbies, and expert intervention seem to be necessary factors to escape from sexual addiction. Fourth, sexual addict who recover from sexual addiction must be prepared psychologically to protect their family. Intervention measures for the recovery of adult male sexual addict can be suggested as follows. First, adult male sexual addiction is caused by a combination of various causes. The family stability, mutual trust between family members, and education on correct values for sex is the top priority among them. Second, it is important to develop measurement indicators that can help to become aware of sexual addiction prior to receiving treatment Third, it is necessary to turn to a job that women do not often encounter, develop hobbies that can be immersed in, and job counseling. Fourth, a social interest without prejudice or prejudice about sexual addiction is necessary so that adult men who have recovered from sexual addiction can abandon excessive obsession with sexual behavior and lead a normal social life to protect their family.

이 연구는 성인 남성 성중독자의 회복요인을 확인하고 치유적 개입방안을 제시하기 위한 것이다. 세평적 사례선택(reputational case selection)을 통해 선별된 성인 남성 성중독자 1 명을 심층면담하였고, 수집된 자료는 생애사 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 연구참여자의 생애사를 분석한 결과 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 첫째로 성인 남성 성중독은 다양한 원인이 복합적으로 작용한다는 점이다. 둘째로 성인 남성 성중독의 회복을 위해서는 성중독자임을 스스로 자각하는 것이 중요하다. 셋째로 물리적 환경변화, 배우자의 믿음, 취미 생활, 전문가의 개입 등도 성중독을 벗어나는 데에 필요한 요소로 보인다. 넷째로 성중독으로 부터 회복된 상태를 유지하려면 성인 남성 성중독자 자신 스스로가 가정을 지키려는 심리적 준비가 되어있어야 한다. 이를 기반으로 성인 남성 성중독자의 회복을 위한 개입방안을 다음과 같이 제시할 수 있 다. 첫째로 성인 남성 성중독은 다양한 원인이 복합적으로 작용하지만 기본적으로 가정의 안 정, 가족간의 상호신뢰, 성에 대한 올바른 가치관 교육이 최우선 과제로 꼽힌다. 둘째로 성중 독자가 개인적으로 치료받기에 앞서 성중독자임을 자각하는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 측정지표의 개발이 필요하다. 셋째로 여성과 자주 접하는 않는 직장으로의 이직. 몰두할 수 있는 취미활동 개발, 직업상담의 활성화가 필요하다. 넷째로 성중독으로부터 회복된 성인 남성이 성행위에 대한 과도한 집착을 버리고 정상적인 사회생활을 하여 가정을 지켜나갈 수 있도록 성중독에 대한 선입견이나 편견 없는 사회적 관심이 필요하다.
