This study set out to analyze research trends in 19 papers on the perceptions of filial piety among 250 papers published in Journal of Korean Hyo Studies from its first issue in 2014 to the issue in 2019 and propose future research directions for the perceptions of filial piety. For these purposes, the investigator analyzed these papers and their trends according to the year of publication, methodology, samples, measuring instruments, related variables, subjects, and topics. The findings were as follows: first, there was a paper on the perceptions of filial piety in the journal in 2010, and a couple of papers were published on the subject in the journal every year since then; second, quantitative researches accounted for the biggest part at 13(68.4%), being followed by qualitative researches at five(26.3%) and literature study at one(5.3%). The most popular methodology in qualitative researches was case study, which was followed by phenomenological study; third, the biggest number of researches targeted grown-up. Various groups of people participated in researches including marriage migrant women, soldiers, and foreign students studying in the nation; fourth, the most popular research topic was self at eight(40%), which was followed by family at three(15%), adjustment at three(15%), and interpersonal relationship at two(10%) in the order; and finally, the study discussed researches on the perceptions of filial piety and made proposals based on these findings.

본 연구는 효학연구의 창간호인 2004년부터 2019년까지 게재된 논문 250편 중 효의식에 관한 논문 19편의 연구동향을 분석하고 향후 효의식 연구 방향을 제안하는데 목적 이 있다. 이를 위해 분석대상 논문을 발행연도, 연구방법, 표본, 측정도구, 관련변인, 연구대상, 연구주제를 중심으로 동향을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발행연도별은 2010년에 1편으로 시작하여 효의식 연구는 해마다 1-2편씩 꾸준하게 연구 되었다. 둘째, 연구방법별은 양적연구가 13편(68.4%)으로 가장 많고, 질적연구는 5편 (26.3%), 문헌연구는 1편(5.3%)으로 나타났다. 질적연구의 하위연구방법은 사례연구, 현상학 순으로 주로 활용되었다. 셋째, 연구대상별은 성인을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았고, 연구에 참여한 대상자들은 결혼이주여성, 군인, 외국인 유학생 등 다양하게 나 타났다. 넷째, 연구주제별은 자기(self)와 관련된 연구가 8편(40%)으로 가장 많았고, 가족 3편(15%), 적응 3편(15%), 대인관계 2편(10%) 순으로 연구되었다. 마지막으로 결 과를 바탕으로 효의식 연구에 대한 논의 및 제언을 제시하였다.
