As Japanese education in Korea continues to stagnate, the number of Japanese learner in university has been decreasing exponentially simultaneously. To be clear, a number of learners who finished beginner’s level, the curriculum focusing on new learners, tend to give up on going up to the next level. It has been pointed out that changes from different perspective are highly required in recent language education. So it is imperative to set up an education that meets the needs of learners (focusing on learner’s opinion) since Japanese field education is challenging to find changes in syllabus or learning method. This paper examines the solution on not only decreasing number of needs for Japanese education, but the existence of itself. This paper went through the learning status of the beginner’s Japanese language course and presented an educational plan that introduced “easy Japanese”. “Easy Japanese” is an educational method that requires Japanese society to acquire multilingual multiculturalism from a few years ago, aiming to commercialize education by simplifying the Japanese syllabus and placing importance on calculation. This article introduces easy Japanese to beginners who are new to Japanese, making it a beginner’s course for beginners with the use of “One function one form”, spiral method, output level, continuous and systematic syllabus for basic – level Japanese.

ここ数年間、韓国と日本との関係がデリケートな状況が続いており、韓国の日本語教育にも影響が与えられ、大学の日本語学習者の数が減ってきている。その中、ゼロビギナーを対象とする初級日本語クラスを終えた学習者のうち、次のレベルに進んでいかず、日本語学習をやめてしまう場合が多い。最近、様々な観点からの言語教育の変化が求められる一方、現場の教育がシラバスや学習法などの変化のない現状に即して、学習者のニーズに合った(学習者の声に耳を傾ける)教育を設定する必要がある。本稿では、こうした枠組みでは大学の日本語クラスが減少し、日本語教育の存在さえ疑われる危険性があることを、最近２年間(2018~2019)の初級日本語クラスの学習現状を例にデータに即して論じた。日本語教育の現状を見直す必要性と教育方案については、現行の初級日本語のシラバスをより大幅に簡素化し産出を重視する立場から教育の実用化を目指す日本の｢やさしい日本語｣の観点から考察した。｢やさしい日本語｣は、数年前から日本社会が多言語多文化に向かい外国人側に一定の日本語習得を求める一方で日本人側も｢やさしい日本語｣で話したり書いたりすることを学び、結局、円満なコミュニケーションには相手にやさしく伝え、意見を受け入れさせる概念を日本語教育に取り入れたものである。そこで、ゼロビギナーを対象とする初級レベルから漸進的な見直しが必要であることを指摘した上で、｢やさしい日本語｣の要素である１機能１形式の文法項目、スパイラル式の学習、産出レベル中心、初級から中級の見通しのシラバスと適用及び活用の方案を提案したものである。

한국 일본어교육의 침체가 계속되고 있는 가운데, 대학의 일본어학습자 수도 급격히 감소하고 있다. 이 같은 상황에는 초급일본어 과정을 마친 학습자가 그 다음 레벨로 올라가지 않고 일본어학습을 포기하는 경우를 주요 요인으로 들 수 있다. 오랫동안 언어교육에서는 다양한 관점에서의 변화가 요구되고 있는 가운데 일본어 현장 교육에서는 실러버스나 학습법 등 실질적인 변화를 찾기가 어렵다. 무엇보다도 니즈에 맞는(학습자의 목소리에 귀를 기울이는) 교육은 오랫동안 연구를 거듭해 왔으나 아직 한국의 일본어교육에는 충분히 적용되지 않아 이에 대한 재고가 시급하다. 본고에서는 대학의 일본어과정이 감소하고 일본어교육의 존재마저 우려의 목소리가 높아지는 현황을 인식하고 그 해결방안을 모색하고자 한 것이다. 그 일환으로서 최근 2년간(2018-2019) 초급일본어과정의 학습현황을 검토하고 “쉬운 일본어”를 도입한 교육방안을 제시하였다. “쉬운 일본어”는 일본어실러버스를 간소화하고 산출을 중시하는 입장으로 교육의 실용화를 목표로 하는 교육 방안이다. 본고에서는 “쉬운 일본어”를 도입하여 일본어를 처음 시작하는 학습자를 대상으로 한 초급일본어과정에 “쉬운 일본어”의 요소인 “1기능1형식”의 문법항목, 스파이럴 식 학습, 산출레벨 중심, 초급에서 중급까지 연속적이고 체계적인 실러버스의 적용 및 활용방안을 제안한 것이다.
