The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating effect of grit in the relationship between parent attachment and career preparation behavior in college students. Data were collected from 234 four-year college students in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed with Hayes (2013)’s PROCESS macro (Model=4), a mediating effect verification method using bootstrapping. There were two major findings. First, the relationship between parent attachment, grit, and career preparation behavior of college students showed statistically significant correlations. Second, grit fully mediated the relationship between parent attachment and career preparation behavior of college students. This suggests that it is necessary to increase the grit level in order to enhance the career preparation behavior of college students.

이 연구의 목적은 대학생의 부모애착과 진로준비행동 간의 관계에서 그릿(grit)의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 4년제 대학생 234명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)을 이용한 매개효과 검증방법인 Hayes(2013)의 PROCESS macro(Model=4)를 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 부모애착, 그릿, 진로준비행동 간에는 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 부모애착과 진로준비행동 간 관계에서 그릿 은 완전매개효과가 있었다. 이는 대학생의 진로준비행동을 높이기 위해서는 그릿 수준을 높일 필 요가 있음을 시사한다.
