Purpose : This study is to investigate the effects of bullying and interpersonal stress in the workplace on nursing performance in clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 266 clinical nurses working at a university hospital in Gyeonggi Province, Seoul, and collected data by a questionnaire survey in April 2019. We analyzed this data through descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s coefficient, multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 21.0. Results : The factors affecting the outcome of nursing work are marital status, academic background, career, interpersonal stress, and explanatory power was 30.5% (F=7.83, p<.001). When the state of marriage is married, nursing work results have been improved as the stress of interpersonal relationships is lower when the career is between 6 and 10 years if the academic background is above graduate school. Conclusion : In order to improve the results of nursing work, it is necessary to understand the factors of workplace bullying by career, prepare systematic preventive measures against it, and need in-house programs and improvement activities to reduce interpersonal stress. In addition, because the outcome of nursing work is affected according to the state of marriage, academic background, and career, it is necessary to improve welfare and work environment that can improve the outcome of nursing work in consideration of this.
