This study investigated and analyzed the use of language by youth in order to find ways to use the right language by creating a good language environment for them. youth are exposed to a variety of media, and they also acquire linguistic information that is not as good as media. Despite the presence of standard language, many people are exposed to and used slang, neologisms, and abbreviations, which are forms of variation in language, which have a negative impact on youth' emotions. Of course, the use of language can be said to be a culture of youth, but it needs to be improved because of its negative effects. In response, the study investigated and analyzed the media, types of language use, level of perception by subject, and reasons for use, and discussed ways to improve the use of slang, neologisms, and abbreviations among youth.

이 연구는 청소년들의 좋은 언어 사용 환경을 조성하여 올바른 언어를 사용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하 기 위해 청소년들의 언어 사용 실태를 조사・분석한 것이다. 청소년들은 다양한 매체에 노출되어 있는 데, 매체가 다양한 만큼 좋지 않은 언어적 정보들도 함께 습득하게 된다. 표준어가 있음에도 불구하고 언 어의 변이 형태인 비속어, 신조어, 줄임말 등을 많이 접하게 되고 쓰게 되면서 청소년들의 정서에 좋지 않은 영향을 준다. 물론 이러한 언어 사용이 청소년들의 문화라고 할 수 있지만 부정적인 영향도 있기 때문에 이에 대한 개선이 필요하다. 이에 이 연구에서는 청소년들이 주로 접하는 매체, 언어 사용 유형, 사용 대상에 따른 인식 정도, 사용 이유 등에 대해 조사・분석하였으며, 청소년들의 비속어, 신조어, 줄임 말 등의 사용을 개선할 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다.
