초록
영어
The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of friendship on ego-identity in adolescence using a potential growth model. For this purpose, data from the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute (NYPI) in 2010 were used. The data were analyzed using the latent growth model of 2351 people using the data of the third year (second grade in middle school), the fifth year (second grade in high school), and the sixth year (third grade in high school). The results of this study are as follows: First, the level of friendship and ego-identity all increased over time. Second, the early friendship had a significant positive effect on the early stage of ego-identity, and the early stage of friendship did not have a significant effect on the change of ego-identity. Third, the increase in friendship in the longitudinal relationship had a significant positive effect on the increase in ego-identity, and it was suggested that the maintenance of friendship is necessary according to the tendency of the continuous increase in ego-identity. Finally, based on the results of this study, implications and suggestions were presented.
