The purpose of this study is to examine and evaluate the theory and practice of a lesson design by Haro Van Brummelen, and to explore the principles and practices for the design of religious lessons for religious teachers. First, this study explores the areas underlying the curriculum, such as the teacher views, world views, values, knowledge views, and human views by Harro Van Brummelen. After looking at his theories on the lesson design procedures and lesson structures, this study assess whether his theories and practices are applicable to religious lessons. Through Harro Van Brummelen’s insights and critical assessment, I suggested a religious teacher’s Christian religious lesson. Based on the theory and practice of a lesson by Harro Van Brummelen, this study explore on the basis of the following five questions, taking into account the religious education situation of Korean public education. In the context of public education in Korea, first, can religious teachers reflect their Christian faith and value? Second, what kind of educational theme or content should they choose? Third, how can they realize Christian trait in classroom? Fourth, what procedures should be taken when preparing a lesson plan? Fifth, How do they organize their classes and learning stages?

본 논문은 학교 종교교사의 수업설계 및 교육과정 개발에 대한 기독 교적 접근을 시도한 연구이다. 본 연구는 Harro Van Brummelen의 교 육과정개발 및 수업설계 이론과 실제를 고찰하여 종교교사의 종교수업 설계를 위한 원리와 실제를 탐구하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 삼았다. 이 러한 연구목적으로 본 연구는 Brummelen의 수업설계 이론과 실제를 고찰하고 이를 토대로 그의 이론과 실제를 평가하였다. 즉 본 연구는 Brummelen의 교사관, 세계관 및 가치관, 지식관 및 인간관 등‘교육과 정의 기초가 되는 영역들’을 고찰하고, 그 다음‘수업단원 기획의 절차 와 수업구조’를 살펴본 후, 그의 이론과 실제를 종교수업에 적용가능 한지‘평가’하였다. Brummelen의 통찰과 비평적 평가를 통해 종교교 사의 기독교적 종교수업을 위한 제언을 실행하였다. 본 연구는 기독교 종교교사의 수업역량에 직접적으로 연결되어진 다 음의 다섯 가지 질문을 토대로 탐구하였다. 한국의 공교육의 상황 속에 서 종교과목 교사가 수업 기획 및 진행할 때, 첫째, 교사자신의 기독교 적 신앙과 가치를 반영할 수 있는가? 둘째, 어떤 교육주제나 교육내용을 선택해야 하는가? 셋째, 수업에서 기독교성을 어떻게 실현할 수 있나? 넷째, 수업계획서(혹은 학습지도안)를 작성할 때 어떤 절차를 거쳐야 하 는가? 다섯째, 수업구조 및 수업단계를 어떻게 구성해야 하나? 이다.
