The purpose of this study is to systematically analyze job competencies of kindergarten teachers based on a site-focused perspective. The two specific research questions such as job competency factors and development strategies were considered. As research methods, systematic review, in-depth interview, and open-questionnaire survey were taken advantage of for achieving the purpose and solving the research questions. The results of analyzing competency factors were classified as the two parts: 1) should be more emphasized job competencies based on the previously suggested key competency factors by the Ministry of Education in 2010, 2) should be newly considered job competencies. For teacher education policy suggestions, the six following strategies were introduced: 1) not just forcing ideal mission, but giving the opportunities for realistic cases and indirect experience in teacher education, 2) strengthening practicum course by extension of practicum period and expansion of concrete experience based on the perspective of contingency theory, 3) supporting good teaching experience by connecting theory with practice, 4) giving opportunities to stimulate the sense of mission and self-development, 5) implementing systematic training program for activities focused Nuri-curriculum, and 6) leading kindergartens to a learning organization.

본 연구는 유치원 현장에 기반하여 교사 및 관리자, 행정가가 인식하는 유치원 교사의 직 무역량을 체계적으로 분석하는데 목적을 두고 진행되었다. 구체적인 연구 문제는 현장의 필 요에 근거하여 유치원 교사에게 요구되는 직무역량들과 이를 제고하기 위한 정책적 과제로 설정하였다. 이를 위해 체계적 문헌 분석(systematic review)과 심층면담, 개방형 설문 등의 방법을 활용하여 유치원 교사의 직무역량 요소와 제고 방안을 분석하였다. 유치원 교사의 직 무역량 분석 결과는 2010년 교육부가 발표한 유치원 교사의 핵심 역량을 기준으로, 강조되어 야 하는 역량과 심층 면담과 개방형 설문을 통해 추가로 드러난 역량으로 나누어 제시되었 다. 본 연구는 교원교육정책을 위한 시사점으로 1) 이상적 차원의 소명보다는 현실적 차원의 사례와 간접 경험 부여, 2) 상황론적 관점에서 기간과 구체적 경험 확대를 통한 실습교육 강 화, 3) 이론과 실천의 연결을 통해 좋은 수업을 할 수 있도록 지원, 4) 소명의식 강조와 자기 계발 기회 제공, 5) 놀이중심 누리과정 시행에 대한 체계적 연수 프로그램 실시, 6) 유치원의 체계적 학습조직화 등을 제시하였다.
