The Journal of Korean Teacher Education is quarterly published by The Korean Society for the Study of Teacher Education(KSSTE), the research association founded for improvement of teacher education study. There are other institutions established for the similar aim, development of educational administration research. Therefore, it is crucial to differentiate the identity of KSSTE from others, and analyzing research trends of the journal allows us to clarify the identity. This study aimed to look back on the research trend of the journal, especially using semantic network analysis that is allowing new and broaden perspective in reviewing research trends. Furthermore, we analyzed research topics by the regime and reasoned inductively the relation between research topics and educational policies of each regime. The conclusion of the study is as follows. It seems that the research topics of the journal have reflected educational issues at each period, and the proportion of theoretical-practical research was also increasing as the participation rate of field teachers increased recently. Based on the results of this study, suggestions were made for establishing the identity of The Korean Society for the Study of Teacher Education(KSSTE).

‘한국교원교육학회’는 한국의 교원 교육에 관한 연구 및 협의를 통해 그 개선과 발전을 도 모하고자 설립되었으며, 「한국교원교육연구(이하 교원교육연구)」를 연 4회 발간하고 있다. 교육행정 연구의 발전을 위해 설립된 여러 학회 중 하나로서 해당 학회의 정체성을 보다 분 명하게 차별화하기 위해서는 발간 중인 학술지의 연구 흐름을 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 이전의 선행 연구에서 시도되었던 분석 준거들뿐만 아니라 ‘의미연결망 분석기법’ 을 적용한 새로운 관점으로 「교원교육연구」의 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 특히, 학술지를 정 권 시기별로 나누어 분석하여 각 정권의 교육공약과 실제 한국교원교육학술지에서 다루어지 는 연구 내용의 유사성 및 관련성을 추론해보고자 하였다. 분석결과, 「교원교육연구」의 연 구들은 각 정권에서 중점적으로 이슈화되었던 교육 주제들을 일부 반영하는 것으로 나타났 다. 또한, 최근 현장 교원의 연구 참여가 늘어나는 추세를 보였으며, 이에 따라 실제 현장의 문제를 이론적으로 분석하는 연구의 비중도 함께 늘고 있었다. 본 연구에서는 분석결과를 토 대로 한국교원교육학회의 정체성 확립을 위한 제언을 하였다.
