Even if the Korean church sends the second largest number of missionaries to foreign countries in the world, it has created many malfunctions like relationship-centered, and adult-oriented works, and meritocracy rather than strategic propagation. While the number of next-generation members of the Korean church is decreasing, the church cultivates next-generation Christians by establishing educational institutions from kindergarten to high schools. It seems to be very desirable. It seems to be the work God is happy about to approach such a curriculum with religious education instead of knowledge teaching. What I only want is that church leaders set the direction of next generations to lead them to devote themselves to the Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ also performed religious education wanting the Gospel to spread to the end of the earth among the works in the earth. The early church, under oppression, practiced teaching and propagation ceaselessly. Saint Paul devoted himself to send the gospel to the end of the world through continuous religious education, risking his life. In the early Korean church, missionaries did their best to spread the gospel to the end of the world by establishing educational institutions along with education for next generations provided by church. Even now, the Korean church needs to change its paradigm for missionary works to make the gospel to spread to the end of the world through next-generation religious education. While the gospel does not change, the person who delivers it and the person who receives it are in different cultures. Thus, the missionary works through next-generation religious education should be strategic. Missionary works are not special activities, but an essential function of the church. Cultures change over time, so do values. But, missionary works are the goal of the existence of church. So, they should continue without change. To make the Korean church do effective religious education with the perspective of missionary works, the researcher suggested the followings. First, to make next-generation religious education result in missionary works, all the members as well as church leaders should try to change their paradigms on religious education. Second, if the church wants to grow next generations into missionary leaders through religious education, it needs to have the roadmap on it. Third, the church should hold the missionary rally for next generations by inviting leaders in the church or educational institutions performing religious education for next generations. Forth, beyond each church or religious society, individuals, churches, educational institutions and religious societies which are interested in missionary works through next-generation religious education should form networks.

한국교회가 해외선교사 파송 두 번째 국가가 되었음에도 전략적 선교보다는 관계 중심, 장년 중심, 성과주의 등으로 많은 역기능(dysfunction)을 초래하고 있다. 물론 한국교회의 다음 세대는 감소하고 있지만 유치부 과정에서부터 고등학생과정까지 교 육기관을 설립하여 신앙교육을 하고 있다. 이는 매우 바람직한 것으로 여겨진다. 이러 한 교육과정을 지식전달이 아니라 신앙교육까지 관심을 가지고 접근하는 것 또한 하 나님께서 기뻐하시는 사역으로 여겨진다. 다만 교회 지도자들이 이러한 교육과정을 통해 다음 세대로 하여금 하나님 나라를 위해 헌신하도록 방향성이 더 분명해지기를 바란다. 예수님도 지상 사역 가운데 땅 끝까지 복음이 전파되기를 바라시며 신앙교육 을 실시하셨다. 초대교회도 핍박 가운데서 가르침과 전도하기를 쉬지 않고 실천하였 다. 바울 역시 지속적으로 신앙교육을 바탕으로 복음이 땅 끝까지 전해지도록 자신의 생명조차도 조금도 아끼지 않고 헌신하였다. 초기 한국교회도 선교사들이 다음 세대 를 바라보며 교회에서 실시한 교육과 함께 교육기관을 설립하여 신앙교육을 실시하여 복음이 땅 끝까지 전해지도록 사명을 감당했다. 이제라도 한국교회는 다음 세대 신앙교육을 통해 효과적으로 복음이 땅 끝까지 전 파되도록 선교에 대한 패러다임을 전환해야 한다. 복음은 변하지 않지만 복음을 전하 는 사명자와 그 복음을 받는 대상은 다른 문화 가운데 있기 때문에 다음 세대 신앙교 육을 통한 선교는 전략적이어야 한다. 선교는 교회의 특별한 활동이 아니라 본질적 기능이다. 시대에 따라 다양한 문화에 익숙해지고, 가치관이 변하지만 선교는 교회 존 재 목적이기에 변함없이 계속되어야 한다. 연구자는 한국교회가 선교적인 관점을 가지고 효과적인 신앙교육을 위해 다음과 같이 실천 방안을 제안했다. 첫째, 다음 세대 신앙교육이 선교로 열매를 맺기 위해서 는 교회 지도자들뿐 아니라 모든 구성원까지 신앙교육에 대한 패러다임이 변화되어야 한다. 둘째, 다음 세대를 신앙교육을 통해 선교 주체로 세우기 원한다면 이에 대한 로 드맵이 있어야 한다. 셋째, 교회는 다음 세대를 위해 신앙교육을 실시하는 교회나 교 육기관 지도자를 초청하여 다음 세대 선교대회를 진행해야 한다. 넷째, 개 교회나 교 단을 넘어 다음 세대 신앙교육을 통한 선교 사명이 있는 개인과 교회와 교육기관과 교단이 네트워크를 구축해야 한다.
