Recently, web services using geographic information systems and satellite position systems are emerging with the increase of location-based digital services, the advancement of information technology and improvement of computers. Unlike general web contents that provide text, image, and video information, a map-based web service uses interface design suitable for characteristics such as map positioning, map screen adjustment, and search. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to propose an effective map-based web interface by analyzing a web-based user interface design based on maps. To do this, first, we study map-based web services and design elements through literature research including papers, articles, and books. Second, base on the design elements derived from the literature studies, the user interface is analyzed for nine sites that provide web services including maps. Finally, this paper presents the characteristics and directions of the visual elements for the web-based map service UI design.

최근 위치 기반 디지털 서비스가 증가하고 정보 기 술의 발전과 컴퓨터의 고성능화에 따라 지리정보시스 템, 위성위치 확인 시스템 등을 적용한 웹 서비스들 이 등장하고 있다. 텍스트나 이미지, 동영상 정보를 제공하는 일반적인 웹 콘텐츠와는 다르게 지도를 기 반으로 하는 웹 서비스는 지도 위치 파악, 지도 화면 조정, 검색 등의 그 특징에 맞는 인터페이스 디자인 이 사용되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문의 목적은 지도를 기반으로 한 웹 서비스 UI(User Interface) 디자인 을 분석하여, 효과적인 지도 기반 웹 인터페이스를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 논문, 기사, 단행 본을 포함한 문헌조사를 통해 지도 기반 웹 서비스와 디자인 요소를 연구한다. 둘째, 문헌연구를 통해 도출 한 디자인 요소를 바탕으로 지도 형태를 포함한 웹 서비스를 하고 있는 사이트 9개를 대상으로 UI를 분 석한다. 마지막으로 분석한 내용을 통하여 현재 서비 스하고 있는 웹 기반 지도 서비스 UI 디자인의 시각 적 요소에 대한 특징과 방향에 대하여 제시하고자 한다.
