Japan has been making efforts towards a multicultural symbiosis society for a Abstract ― Among the East Asian countries, Japan has been making efforts towards a multicultural symbiosis in its society for a relatively long period. The language of multicultural symbiosis has long been used in Japanese society. However, it does not necessarily mean that multicultural symbiosis has become familiar to most people. This is especially relevant in the daily life of its residents. Multicultural symbiosis still remains in the hands of a very limited number of experts. As a way of communicating in a multicultural society in Japan, the concept of “friendly Japanese” attracts attention. In the case of South Korea, the linguistic support for foreign residents is focused on Korean language education and it can be said that the multi󰠏factor correspondence level is still inadequate. As multiculturalization progresses, it is very important for native speakers and Japanese󰠏native speakers to work towards understanding each other and to smoothly communicate as soon as possible. This is necessary in order to achieve a truly multicultural symbiosis. This research focuses on “Easy Japanese” in the linguistic aspects of the Japanese multicultural symbiosis, and how it relates to the aspect of providing information for foreigners living in Korea. Korea is rapidly becoming a multicultural society and so “Easy Korean” was introduced. This was based on a production of using gentle Korean public languages, thereby friendly Korean was proposed. There is a real possibility that it will become a new model of communication in Korean society, which is further becoming more multicultural in its future. Through living in the same area, people will begin to learn to understand each other without perfect communication or discriminating against others ethnicity, race, nationality, gender, language “ability” etc. In order to become a society that can grow together, it is required that the accepting side firstly and consciously opens a heart to communicate. Such a posture will be indispensable for a multicultural symbiosis society to prosper.

일본은 동아시아 국가 중에서 비교적 오랫동안 다문화 공생 사회를 위해 노력해 왔고, 다 문화 공생 언어 또한 일본 사회에서 오랜 기간 사용되어 왔다. 그러나 그것은 반드시 다문화 공생주의가 대부분의 사람들에게 친숙해졌다는 것을 의미하지는 않는다. 특히 주민의 일상생 활과 관련된 부분에서는 다문화 공생주의가 여전히 극히 제한된 전문가의 영역 안에 남아 있 다. 일본의 다문화 사회에서 소통하는 방법으로 ‘쉬운 일본어’가 눈길을 끈다. 우리나라의 경우, 외국인 거주자에 대한 언어적 지원이 한국어 교육에 집중되어 있으며, 다단계적 대응은 여전히 미흡하다고 말할 수 있다. 다문화가 진행됨에 따라, 진정한 다문화 공생을 성취하기 위해서는 원어민과 이주민이 서로 협력하여, 가능한 한 빨리 원활한 의사소 통을 하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 일본 다문화 공생의 언어적 측면에서의 “쉬운 일본어”와 다문화 사회가 진행되 고 있는 한국에 살고 있는 외국인에게 정보를 제공하는 측면에서의 “쉬운 한국어”에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 특히 일본의 “쉬운 일본어”를 참조하여 한국에서 공용어를 쉽게 사용할 수 있 는 방법으로 ‘쉬운 한국어’를 제안한다. 이는 앞으로 더욱 더 다문화가 진행될 한국사회의 새 로운 소통의 수단이 될 가능성이 있을 것이다. 같은 지역에 살면서도 의사소통이 원활하지 않으면, 사람들을 서로를 민족, 인종, 국적, 성 별, 언어 “능력” 등으로 차별하게 된다. 함께 성장할 수 있는 사회가 되기 위해서는 우선 수 용하는 쪽이 의식적으로 좀 더 마음을 열고 소통하는 것이 필요하고, 이주민의 언어생활을 돕기 위한 다양한 노력이 요구된다. 이런 자세는 앞으로 더욱 심화될 다문화 공생 사회에 없 어서는 안 될 마음가짐일 것이다.
