In this paper, the study on the use of contents for children's traditional music participation motivation in Geomungo Byeongchang has been focused on the performance structure of the singing melody and the lyric of the saetaryeong among the red-walled streets. Usually, Geomungo's role in the relationship between song melody and anti-mainstream rate is not only to play the role of accompaniment, but also to emphasize the melody of songs as well as to play the role of rhythm and direction. Therefore, it can be confirmed that the gayageum is playing the same role as the gayageum in the Gayageum Byeongchang. Unlike Gayageum bars, however, Geomungo bars are not activated. There are only three songs to be passed on to Kim Young-jae following Sinheung-dong, but the fact that Choi Young-hoon had a military funeral for Geomungo with a new repertoire of Namdo folk songs and pansori shows new possibilities for Geomungo Byeongchang. For the transfer of traditional music, it is necessary to develop diverse methods of playing Geomungo in accordance with various singing melodies and singing styles such as Gyeonggi folk songs and Seodo sori, as well as continuous content development research on how to use it as a child's motivation to participate in traditional music.

이 논문에서는 거문고 병창의 아동 전통음악 참여동기에 대한 콘텐츠 활용방안 고찰을 적벽가 중 새타령의 노래선율과 거문고 선율의 연주구조를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 통상적으로 노래선율과 반주선율의 관계에 있어서 거문고의 역할은 노래선율의 반주 역할 외에도 장단, 지휘의 기능을 할 뿐 아니라 노래의 선율을 강조하기 위한 역할을 한다. 따라서 가야금병창에서 가야금의 역할과 동일하게 다양한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인 할 수 있다. 그러나 가야금 병창과 달리 거문고 병창은 활성화되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 신쾌동에 이어 김영재에게 전해지는 것은 3곡밖에 되지는 않으나 최영훈이 남도 민요와 판소리의 새로운 레퍼토리로 거문고 병창을 했다는 것은 거문고 병창의 새로운 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 따라서 앞으로 거문고 병창이 성악양식의 한 장르로 활성화될 뿐 아니라 전통음악의 전수를 위한 아동의 전통음악 참여동기에 대한 콘텐츠로도 지속적인 개발이 필요할 것이다. 또한 전통음악의 전수를 위하여 남도 민요와 판소리 뿐만 아니라 경기민요와 서도소리 등의 다양한 노래 선율과 창법에 맞춰 거문고 연주의 주법을 다양하게 개발하고 이를 아동의 전통음악 참여동기로 활용하는 방안에 대한 지속적인 콘텐츠 개발 연구가 필요하다. 이러한 방안은 향후 거문고의 문화적 가치를 함양하고 후손에게 예술적 문화전승에 기여하는 바가 클 것이라 사료된다. 이에 본 논문이 거문고의 세대 간 문화전수 및 콘텐츠 개발에 도움이 되었으면 한다.
