The aim of this study is to explore the leisure experience and meanings of South-East Asia married immigrant women in the perspective of social integration. The in-depth interview was conducted by selecting seven South-East Asia immigrant women who are from Vietnam, Philippines, and Nepal. The research participants were composed of people who were judged to have no problems with communication for interview, out of the subjects who voluntarily applied for the interview in a multicultural family support center. Also, they were limited to the age group from mid-late 30s to mid 40s with the most energetic activity, the subjects who resided in Korea for five years or longer, and the married immigrant women residing in the capital area, with a child or more. In the results of this study, the meanings of leisure experience of South-East Asia married immigrant women included ‘Family leisure is my leisure’, ‘Recovery of longing through the enjoyment of native culture’, and ‘Change of daily life through transnational connections’. Such results could be used for establishing the foundation of alternative practical measures like improvement of personal satisfaction and family relationship of married immigrant women for the improvement of life quality in daily life, which is the significance of this study.

본 연구의 목적은 사회통합적 관점에서 동남아시아계 결혼이주여성의 여가경험과 의 미를 탐색하는 것이다. 연구 대상은 동남아시아계(베트남, 필리핀, 네팔) 결혼이주여성 7명을 선정하여 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 연구참여자의 선정 기준은 다문화가족지원센 터 내에서 자발적인 인터뷰 신청 대상자들이다. 이들 증에서 인터뷰를 진행하는 데 의사 소통에 문제가 없다고 판단되는 연구참여자로 구성하였다. 또한 활동력이 가장 왕성한 연령대인 30대 중후반부터 40대 중반까지로 제한하였고, 한국 거주기간 5년 이상, 수도 권에 거주하고 있는 자녀를 한명이상 둔 결혼이주여성으로 한정하였다. 연구 결과, 동남 아시아계 결혼이주여성의 여가 경험은 세 가지 영역, 즉 ‘가족 여가가 곧 나의 여가, 모국 문화 향유를 통한 그리움 회복, 초국적 연계를 통한 일상의 전환’으로 분석되었다. 이와 같은 결과는 일상생활 내의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 결혼이주여성의 개인 만족뿐만 아니라 가족과의 관계 개선 등의 대안적인 실천 방안의 토대 마련에 활용 가능하다는 점에서 의 의가 있다.
