This study is a pilot study to measure the demand of speech language therapy’s sectional satisfaction rate and parental education along with current status of the treatment aimed at the parents who have children with communication disorders. After conducting a survey to 11 mothers and 11 fathers, it shows the mother group is more satisfied with methodical aspect of language therapy. The father group answered the most at ‘the family’s stress reduces’ through language therapy whereas the mother group answered the most at ‘the family has earned mental stability’. It also shows that the current parental education is mostly conducted after the treatment along with counseling although the demand of additional long-term education in a workshop form seems quite high. Thus it seems the additional education and a long-term workshop education are in need to complement the current parental education that only takes 10 minutes or less after the treatment. This pilot study has a fundamental purpose to proceed the main study implying the need of researching and developing the various types of parental education programs with many different contents to cover the demand of the parents henceforth.

본 연구는 의사소통장애 아동의 부모를 대상으로 하여 언어치료에 대한 영역별 만족도와 부모 교육 의 현황 및 요구에 대하여 알아보기 위한 예비연구이다. 어머니 11명, 아버지 11명에게 설문조사를 실 시한 결과 언어치료에 대한 만족도에서 어머니 집단은 아버지 집단보다 언어치료의 방법적 측면에 대 하여 더 만족하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 언어치료를 통하여 ‘가족의 스트레스가 경감되었다’는 응답 이 가장 많은 아버지 집단에 비하여 어머니 집단은 ‘가족이 심리적으로 안정을 얻었다’는 항목에 가장 많이 응답하였다. 또한 부모 교육에 있어서 현재는 치료 후 상담과 함께 이루어지는 교육의 형태에 참 여하는 것이 대부분으로 조사되었으나, 추가적으로 정기적인 워크샵 형태의 교육에 대한 부모의 요구 가 높았다. 따라서 현재 치료 후 이루어지는 10분 내외의 부모 교육을 보완할 수 있는 추가적인 형태 의 교육과 정기적인 워크샵 형태의 교육이 필요한 것으로 보인다. 이에 이 예비 연구는 본 연구를 진 행하기 위한 기초 자료로 의미가 있으며, 향후 어머니와 아버지의 요구를 수용할 수 있는 다양한 형태 와 내용의 부모 교육 프로그램이 연구되고 개발되어야 함을 시사하고 있다.
