The purpose of the study was to verify the difference in retirement anxiety and the expectation of life after retirement according to the individual background variables of a professional soccer players. As the population, K1, K2, K3, and national soccer players belonging to the Korea Football Association was selected and a total of 900 players was collected by using a convenient sampling method. 841 of the data were used in the analysis, except for 59 players where there was a lack of consistency in the double response or the omission of the statement. The survey tools were used to modify and supplement the questionnaire used in the preceding study, and researchers and research assistants visited each team to conduct the research. Data processing was based on the analysis methods of t-test and ANOVA using the statistical package program SPSS 22.0. The results obtained are as follows: First, there was a partial difference in the factors in retirement anxiety according to the individual background variables of professional soccer players. Second, according to individual background variables of professional soccer players, partial differences appeared in variables of expectation for life after retirement. It was believed that the study could be used as a base material or indicator for future soccer players' declining retirement anxiety and improving expectations about life after retirement.

이 연구의 목적은 프로축구선수의 개인 배경변인에 따른 은퇴불안 및 은퇴 후 삶의 기대 차이를 검증하는데 있 다. 연구대상자는 대한축구협회에 소속된 K1, K2, K3, 내셔널 축구선수를 모집단으로 선정하였으며, 편의표본 추출방 법을 사용하여 각 구단별 선수들을 대상으로 총 900명의 표본을 수집하였다. 이중 응답의 일관성이 결여되거나 문항의 누락이 발생한 59명을 제외한 841명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 조사도구는 선행연구에서 사용된 설문지를 수정 및 보완하여 사용하였으며, 연구자와 연구보조원이 각 구단에 방문하여 연구를 진행하였다. 자료처리는 통계패키지 프로 그램인 SPSS 22.0을 이용하여 t-test, ANOVA 분석방법을 연구의 목적에 맞게 사용하였다. 도출된 결과는 다음과 같 다. 첫째, 프로축구선수의 개인 배경변인에 따른 은퇴불안의 모든 변인에서 부분적인 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 프로축구 선수의 개인 배경변인에 따른 은퇴 후 삶에 대한 기대의 모든 변인에서 부분적인 차이가 나타났다. 이 연구는 향후 축구 선수들의 은퇴불안 저하 및 은퇴 후 삶에 대한 기대의 향상에 기초자료 또는 지표로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
