The study is aimed at analyzing and gaining implications for 171 papers published in ‘the Journal of Human Rights & Law Related Education’ over the past decade. The study was reviewed in sections of the above papers, such as a comprehensive analysis, a tangible analysis of the study methodology, and an analysis of the subject and contents of the study. It included analysis of publication performance, analysis of distribution of authors, analysis of research methods applied to published articles, and analysis of research subjects and contents that were addressed by those papers. The results are as follows. First, many papers published in the ‘the Journal of Human Rights & Law Related Education’ were written by people majoring in education, law and adolescent. Professors and primary and secondary school teachers took the initiative in the work. In addition to the above major, a wider variety of majors will be required. In addition to teachers, more various members are required to participate. Second, the papers that studied Human Rights Education apply more diverse methodologies than expected. But theoretical and comparative education studies are more necessary than practical studies. Third, there are many articles on education law in the Journal. This needs to be reconsidered in terms of the identity of law-related education. It is necessary to distinguish law-related education from education law and try to secure the identity of law-related education. Fourth, the subjects of study for human rights education are very diverse. It is necessary to note the possibilities of expanding the study target. Fifth, there are few papers that have attempted to integrate human rights & law-related education research. More many studies should be done that recognize the need for integrative approach methods

이 연구의 취지는 학회지 ‘법과인권교육연구’에 실린 논문들, 구체적으로 지난 10년간 게재된 논문 171 편을 분석하고 그 시사점을 얻고자 한 것이다. 이 연구는 지난 10년간의 ‘법과인권교육연구’의 성과에 대해 개괄적 분석, 연구방법론의 유형적 분석, 연구 주제 및 내용 분석 등으로 나누어서 검토하였다. 그 결과 첫째, ‘법과인권교육연구’ 에 게재된 논문들의 경우 전공별로는 교육학과 법학, 청소년학을 전공한 사람들 이 중심이 되었으며, 직업별로는 교수들과 초·중등학교 교원들이 많이 참여하였다. 앞으로 위 전공 외에도 더욱 다양한 전공자의 참여가 필요하며, 교원들 외에 다양한 직군의 사람들의 참여가 요구된다. 둘째, ‘법과 인권교육연구’ 게재 논문의 연구방법 유형을 분석한 결과, 처음 예상했던 것보다 다양한 방법론이 적용되 고 있다. 그러나 실천적 연구보다 이론연구, 국제비교나 외국사례의 연구 등 비교교육학적 연구가 더욱 필 요하다, 셋째, ‘법과인권교육연구’에 교육법 논문이 많은 점은 법교육학의 정체성 관점에서 재고의 여지가 있다. 앞으로 법교육학이 교육법학과 구별되는 점에 유의하여 그 정체성 확보를 위해 노력할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 인권교육 연구의 대상이 매우 다양하다. ‘법과인권교육연구’ 대상의 확장 가능성에 주목하고 이를 북 돋우는 노력이 요구된다. 다섯째, 법교육과 인권교육 연구의 통합적 접근을 시도한 논문들이 상대적으로 적다. 앞으로 양자의 통합적 접근의 필요성을 인식하고 이러한 접근을 다룬 연구들을 많이 할 필요가 있다.
