In this paper, I discuss the politics of facebook addiction, which had been evaluated as a global social networking system(SNS), with a number of users constantly increasing. Research on facebook addiction has been active in various forms over the past decade, but the discussions are centered on facebook users. So, in this paper, bringing Han Byung Chul's concept of smart power, I’ve tried to differentiate an aspect of facebook addiction. Smart power stimulates and seduces us with a free and kind appearance. Facebook is a place of smart power in which people exposes everything about themselves voluntarily. We know that pressing the LIKE button continues us to be exposed to others. But we are entirely forgotten to be watched by others because you are given instant success and rewards as a form of numbers. Pressing the LIKE button means interacting each other. The next discussion is a content analysis of the movie The Social Network. I regard facebook itself as a place of smart power. Through the movie, the networking with the people who haven known, the simple and neat design of facebook, and the transparency of the real name and the actual photograph make facebook that users voluntarily adapt themselves to digital panopticon. Facebook CEO Zuckerberg has been thought that reading people’s minds is the most exciting thing, and then concealing himself and revealing others, he has been engaged in the politics of addiction.

본 연구에서는 2004년 개발된 이례로 사용자 수가 끊임없이 증가하면서 세계적 SNS로 평가 받고 있는 페이스북 중독의 정치학에 대해 논의 하였다. 페이스북 중독에 관한 연구는 최근 십여 년간 다양한 형태로 활발하게 이루어지고 있지만, 그 논의들은 페이스북 사용자 중심의 양상으로 펼쳐지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 페이스북 중독양상의 관점을 달리 보고자하였다. 필자는 한병철의 스마트 권력 개념을 가져왔다. 스마트 권력이란 자유롭고 친절한 모습으로 우리를 자극하고 유혹한다. 자발적으로 스스로에 대한 모든 것을 노출한다는 점에서페이스북은 스마트 권력의 장이다. 우리는 좋아요 버튼을 누르면 누를수록 지속적으로 자아는 타자에게 노출이 된다는 사실을 잘 알고 있다. 하지만 좋아요 버튼을 누르면 숫자로서 즉각적인 성공과 보상이 주어지기 때문에 타자에 의한 감시를 잊어버린다. 좋아요 버튼을 누르면서 상호작용하는 것이다. 다음으로 논의 한 것은 영화 󰡔소셜 네트워크󰡕에 대한 내용분석이다. 영화의 내용을 통해서, 알고 지내는 사람들과의 네트워크화, 단순하고 깔끔한 디자인, 실명과 실제 사진 등의 투명함을 페이스북의 특징으로 정리할 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 특징들은사용자들을 스스로 자발적 순응을 하게하여, 페이스북을 효과적인 디지털 파놉티콘으로 만든다. 페이스북의 CEO 저커버그는 사람들의 마음을 읽어내는 것을 가장 흥미로운 일이라고 보고 있으며, 그는 그 전략을 성공함으로 인해 자신은 감추고, 다른 이들은 드러내는 중독의 정치학을 펼치고 있다고 본다
