As contemporary art utilizes digital media, various expressions of art are actively realized. The objet, referring to the main subject of contemporary art, appears to create a new species in the complementary relationship between technology and art while utilizing technological media devices and technology. Therefore, the author intends to create an opportunity to analyze the extended expression of art through objet analysis in the area of new media art. This is not merely a link to the meaning of objet art in contemporary art, instead defining the context of objet art through digital media in the new media art. The consideration of the objet in new media art can provide an overview of the possibilities of an objet undergoing extended appearances in the diverse and rapidly evolving new media art. This paper analyzes the utilization of new media artists' concepts of objet and conducts a study of the objet art "Tick-Tock Talk" work to expand the selective factors as an objet and a possible deeper media coverage process with digital media. The work "Tick-Tock Talk" is created through a digital mediation process of an objet found in the visual language of light, i.e., as an objet communicating with human beings and emotions. An objet with a long time trail will be free from the notion of an essential thing, embracing the language of light for communication with the audience, and light in this case has a linguistic part. By adding a digital layer to the use of an objet in New Media Art, we hope that objet, born as new species, will serve as a lifelong cultural intermediary in our future living spaces.

현대 예술에서 디지털 매체를 이용하면서 적극적이고 다양한 예술 표현이 이루어지고 있다. 현대 미술의 주요 소재로 다루던 오브제에서도 테크놀로지 미디어 장치와 기술을 활용하면서 기술과 아트의 상호보완적 관계 속에서 마치 새로운 종을 탄생시키는 듯하다. 이에 본 저자는 뉴미디어 아트에서 오브제 활용의 분석을 통하여 오브제로 확장된 예술표현을 분석하는 기회를 마련하고자 한다. 이는 단순히 현대미술에서의 오브제 아트의 의의와 의미를 이어 뉴미디어아트에서의 디지털 매체를 매개로한 오브제 아트로서의 맥락만을 잇고자함은 아니다. 뉴미디어 아트에서의 오브제에 대한 고찰은 다양하고 급속히 진화해 갈 뉴미디어 아트의 모습에 확장된 오브제로서의 가능성을 조망할 수 있다. 본 논문은 뉴미디어 아티스트의 오브제 활용의 분석과 함께, 본 연구자의 빛언어를 내재한 오브제 “틱-톡 토크” 작품분석으로 오브제로서의 선택적 요인과 디지털 매체와의 심층적 매개 과정을 통해 확장된 새로운 매체로서의 역할이 가능함을 기술하였다. 작품 “틱-톡 토크”는 발견된 사물의 디지털 매개과정을 통해 빛이라는 시각적 언어를 통해 인간과 감정을 소통하는 오브제로 거듭난다. 오랜 시간의 흔적을 가진 발견된 사물은 본질적 사물의 관념에서 벗어나 관객과의 소통을 위해 빛이라는 언어를 내재하게 되며, 이 빛은 언어적 유희를 가진다. 뉴미디어아트에서의 오브제 이용에 디지털 층위를 더함으로써 새로운 종으로 탄생되는 사물들은 앞으로 펼쳐질 우리의 생활공간 속에서 생명력 있는 문화적 매개자로 그 역할을 함께 할 수 있으리라 기대한다.
