The purpose of this study was to investigate the factor structure of the Korean Children’s Depression Inventory 2nd Edition (K-CDI 2). Data from 2,670 school children were divided randomly for exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis. Three and four factors extracted from exploratory factor analysis seemed appropriate. Negative self-esteem, negative mood, interpersonal problems, physical symptoms 4 factor structure found out to be most proper from confirmatory factor analysis. This study is meaningful in a regard that it explored and found out the factor structure embedded in K-CDI 2. The limitation of this study is that the data includes only 3~6th grade. Further study may extend the scope of the participant to adolescents and other age group and various clinical groups.

이 연구는 한국판 아동우울검사 2판(K-CDI 2)의 요인구조를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학생 2,515명의 자료를 무선 분할하여 탐색적, 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과에서 3~4개 요인이 적합한 것으로 나타나 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고, 그 결과 부정적 자존감과 비효율성, 부정적 기분, 대인관계문제, 신체증상이라는 4요인구조가 가장 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 K-CDI 2에 내재되어 있는 요인구조를 탐색하고 확인하였다는 점에서 의미가 있으나, 초등학교 3~6학년의 자료만 포함되어 있다는 점에서 한계가 있다고 생각된다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 청소년을 포함한 보다 다양한 연령층과 임상집단을 포함하여 연구할 필요가 있다고 생각된다.
