The purpose of this study is to investigate the educational effect of school garden in meta - analysis from 2001 to September 2017. A total of 25 papers were selected by searching for the articles published in Korea at the intersection of 'garden garden', 'school', 'elementary school', and 'infant' and a total of 49 effect sizes were calculated. As a dependent variable, correct personality development, improvement of eating habits, improvement of intellectual ability, and cultivation of environmental literacy were selected. As a control variable, the subjects, the number of people, the type of garden, and the training time were selected. The results of the study are as follows. First, education in the school gardens showed a large effect size and among the dependent variables, the effect of correct personality development was the largest. Second, in the control variable, the effect size is large when infants are the subject of research. When the number of student is less than 15, when growing in a box garden, when the time is 10 to 15, the educational effect was great. As a result of checking the errors of publishing, there were publishing errors, but the educational effect of school garden was still big effect size.

본 연구는 학교텃밭의 교육적 효과를 알아보기 위하여 2001년부터 2017년 9월까지 발표된 연구 논문을 대상으로 메타분석을 실시하였다. 국내에서 발표된 논문을 대상으로 ‘텃밭’, ‘학교’, ‘초등’, ‘유아’ 등을 교차로 검색하여 최종적으로 25편의 논문을 선정하였고, 총 49개의 효과크기를 산출하였다. 종속변인으로는 바른 인성 함양, 식습관 개선, 지적능력 향상, 환경소양 함양으로 선정하였고, 조절변인으로는 연구대상, 인원수, 텃밭유형, 교육시간을 선정하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교텃밭에서의 교육은 큰 효과크기를 가지는 것으로 나타났고, 종속변인 중에서는 바른 인성 함양의 효과크기가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조절변인에서는 유아를 대상으로 하고, 인원수가 15명 이하이며, 상자텃밭에서 작물을 재배하고, 시간은 10∼15차시일 때 교육적 효과가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 출판 오류를 검정한 결과 출간 오류가 존재하지만, 학교텃밭의 교육적 효과는 여전히 큰 효과크기를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
