This study focuses on the significance and the types of the view of Baduk(VOB), which seems to be one of the general terms in Baduk, but has not been particularly taken notice of. The result is as follows: First, the view of Baduk exerts an great influence on the development of the techniques and culture of Baduk. Second, the types of the VOB vary, but they can be classified into two main types: artistic and categorical. Third, the artistic VOB means the viewpoint on the essence or technic of Baduk, the greatest of which is the contrast between ‘territory’ and ‘fighting’. Fourth, the categorical VOB has a variety of viewpoints such as play, game, art, artistic Tao, sport, and so on. Each represents a particular aspect of various features of Baduk. Fifth, individual or social VOB brings an invisible effect on the techniques and culture of Baduk, influencing greatly prosperity and decline of the Baduk world.

바둑에 관한 관점을 가리키는 바둑관은 바둑문화의 성격과 흥행이 영향을 미치며, 심지어는 바둑기술에도 영향을 준다. 이 연구에서는 바둑에서 보편적인 개념이면서도 실제로는 별로 주 목을 받지 못하는 ‘바둑관’의 의의와 유형을 알아보았다. 그 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 바둑관은 바둑이 무엇인가를 바라보는 관점으로서 바둑문화와 기술의 흥행에 지대한 영향을 준다. 둘째, 바둑관의 종류는 매우 다양한데, 크게 바둑판에서의 기예를 바라보는 ‘예능적 바둑관’ 과 사회 속에서 바둑이라는 존재가 갖는 위치에 관한 ‘범주적 바둑관’으로 나눌 수 있다. 셋째, 예능적 바둑관은 바둑의 본질이나 기술에 관한 관점으로서, 바둑의 양면적 특징인 ‘영 토’와 ‘전투’의 어느 쪽에 중점을 두느냐가 관점의 분화를 이루는 가장 중요한 요소이다. 넷째, 범주적 바둑관은 일반적으로 놀이, 게임, 예술, 예도, 스포츠 등의 관점이 있는데, 각 관점들은 바둑이 갖는 다양한 속성을 반영하고 있다. 다섯째, 개인이나 사회가 갖고 있는 바둑관은 바둑기술과 바둑문화에 보이지 않는 영향을 준 다. 바둑계의 성쇠에도 바둑관이 중요한 영향력을 행사한다. 이러한 결과는 바둑관이 실제로 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 관한 실증적 연구에 의해 보완될 필요가 있다.
