The Academy of Buddhist Studies in Dongguk University is carrying out Archive of Buddhist Culture project with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. I was involved in the publication of A series of Baek Yong-seong Dajongsa in the course of this project. In order to publish the series, it was essential to research and document the original texts of many translations, articles, and letters left by Baek Yong-seong. Based on the experience and know-how of the investigation of the old document that I had been doing for the past 4 years, We started work. Most of the data of Baek Yong-seong are found in the ‘Yongsung Memorial Hall’. The data of Bongam Wolju, a disciple of Baek Yong-seong, are found in Jinhae Daegwang-sa Temple and Jincheon Wonyung-Hoguk-sa Temple. I was the team leader of the ABC project team, and I was responsible for taking these materials in high resolution images and recording them in the series. This article is a kind of report that summarizes the investigation and shooting process of these artifacts. On the other hand, in the process of ABC project, investigating the entire data of the Tongdo-sa Temple, Gulrak-am here we found a new letter of Baek Yong-seong and Bongam Wolju that have not been known. I hope that this new material will be available here to help research Baek Yong-seong

동국대학교 불교학술원에서는 문화체육관광부의 지원으로 ｢불교기록문화유산 아카이브구축사업(Archive of Buddhist Culture, ABC사업)｣을 진행하고 있다. 이 사업을 진행하는 과정에서 필자는 ｢백용성 대종사 총서｣ 발간 사업에 참여하게 되었다. 총서를 발간하기 위해서 백용성이 남긴 많은 번역서, 논서, 편지글 등의 원문 자료에 대한 조사, 촬영이 필수적이었다. 이에 지난 4년간 해왔던 고문헌 조사, 촬영의 경험과 노하우를 바탕으로 작업에 착수하였다. 백용성의 자료들은 대부분 장수 죽림정사의 ｢용성기념관｣에 소장되어 있다. 그리고 백용성의 제자인 봉암 월주의 자료는 진해 대광사, 진천 원융호국사 등에 있다. 필자는 ABC사업단의 집성팀장으로서 이 자료들을 고해상도 이미지로 촬영하여 총서에 수록하는 소임을 맡았다. 이 글은 이러한 유물의 조사, 촬영 과정을 정리한 일종의 보고서이다. 한편 ABC사업의 과정에서 통도사 극락암의 경봉 자료를 전수 조사하고 있는데, 여기서 그동안 알려지지 않았던 백용성과 봉암 월주의 새로운 편지를 발견하였다. 이 신자료를 여기에 공개하여 백용성에 관한 연구에 도움이 되기를 기원한다.
