[Purpose] The purpose of this study is to suggest a causal relationship between categories by conceptualizing the courses of daily changes as well as awareness changes through caddy participation and categorizing the notions. [Method] As a qualitative research method, the “grounded approach” was used as the methodological frame of this study, and Snowball Sampling, one of nonrandom sampling that is widely used as grounded approach for the selection of research participants and was used in order to examine the life of the people, who have the job of the caddy, and a total of nine research participants that were introduced by the first research participant, who is one of my acquaintances when I started golfing were selected. But the participants were limited to caddies with more than 5-year experiences. [Result] As a result of the categorization through the grounded approach method in order to review the life of caddies, a ground approach paradigm abstracted from a total of 139 notions, 24 subcategories and 8 high categories was composed. The result of the paradigm components of this study suggested the connectivity of the significance, emotion and daily changes revealed in caddy experience and experience course through caddy participation. [Conclusion] This study implies that the caddies live their life, focusing on positive parts rather than negative ones in their individual life including behavior and values as social phenomena.

[목적] 본 연구는 캐디직업을 갖고 있는 그들의 삶 알아보기 과정을 개념화하고, 그 개념들을 범주화하여 범주 간 의 인과모형을 제시하는 데 있다. [방법] 질적 연구 방법인 “근거 이론이 본 연구 방법의 방법론적 틀로 사용되었 으며 연구 참여자 선택 방법은 근거 이론 접근에서 널리 사용되는 캐디직업을 가진 그들의 삶 알아보기에 대한 연구에 접근하기 위해 비 확률표본추출법의 하나인 눈덩이 표집법(Snowball Sampling)을 사용하여 연구자 본인이 골프장 방문 시 알게 되었던 최초 연구 참여자로부터 연쇄적으로 소개받아 총 9명의 연구 참여자를 선정하였다. 단 캐디경력 5년 이상의 연구 참여자로 한정하였다. [결과] 캐디직업을 가진 그들의 삶 알아보기를 근거이론적 방 법을 통해 범주화를 거친 결과 총139개의 개념, 하위범주 24개, 상위범주 8개로 추상화되는 근거이론적 패러다임 을 구성하게 되었다. 본 연구의 패러다임구성요소로 제시된 결과는 캐디참여를 통하여 캐디경험, 그리고 경험 과 정에서 발현되는 의미, 감정, 일상의 변화 등의 연계성을 제시하였다. [결론] 본 연구는 사회적 현상으로서 행위 및 가치관 등을 포함한 생활 부분에 개인의 삶에 부정적인 부분보다는 긍정의 부분으로 삶을 살아가고 있음을 파악해 볼 수 있다.
