The Effect of Mathematics Achievement Variables on Scratch Programming Activities of Elementary School Students

초록

영어

The present study analyzed the effects of mathematics achievement difference on Scratch programming activities. The results showed significant differences in implementation evaluation and perception of Scratch programming by mathematics achievement groups. These differences were larger in the area of geometry, which is directly related to mathematics, than creative activities. The difference, however, was reduced as the classes progress. The results of the present study suggest that instructional plans and organization of learning environment should take mathematics achievement variables in consideration for Scratch programming lessons.
