Information service of future library should start from ‘smart library’which blends the function of the traditional library system with knowledge-based elearning system. It is crucial for a smart library, which pursues improvement in easy access and convenience to the information resources, to be capable of providing all the necessary supports. Reading services of a smart library include the following: table of contents services for the books by subject, electronic book and audio services, link services to informative sites and personalized reading lists through the analysis of reader’s reading history and interest. These are to support active reading activities for both students and teachers. Thus, an ideal smart library is the one that provides a user-friendly environment so that the users can easily and conveniently find the information they want.
