The purpose of this paper is to research on the thought of Child in Donghak, that plays a big role in development of thought of Child respect in history of education in Korea. And discuss the ​​thought of Human respect in Donghak as the ideological foundation. Furthermore, the thought of Human respect in Donghak caught a decisive influence on the development of education of Child in Korea. The main contents of this study is three. First, Views on human in Donghak think a Child at the same Hannulim. This thought is based on the idea of Si-Cheong-Ju in Suun that thought of Human respect is inherent. Second, The core of education in Donghak is to regain the original appearance of humans. Third, the thought of Human respect in Donghak begins with the ​​Humanity respect in Donghak, ‘man is born equal'. The thought of Child respect in Donghak, especially Haewol's idea was a major role in modern Korea education of Child development. It was developed a Campaign of Child as a practical Campaign of the Cheondokyo. Even now many experts for a education of Child expanded the domain of meaning in the thought of Child respect in Donghak and its research.

이 논문의 목적은 한국 교육사에서 유아 존중 사상이 발전하는 데에 큰 역할을 담당한 동학의 유아 사상을 연구한다. 그리고 그 사상적 토대인 동학의 인간 존중 사상을 논의한다. 더 나아가 동학의 인간 존중 사상이 한국 유아교육 발전에 결정적인 영향을 끼쳤음을 밝힌다. 이 연구의 주된 내용은 세 가지이다. 첫째, 동학의 인간관은 유아를 한울님과 동일한 존재로 생각한다. 이 사상은 인간 존중 사상이 내재되어 있는 수운의 시천주에 근거한다. 둘째, 동학의 교육사상의 핵심은 인간 본연의 모습을 되찾도록 하는 것이다. 셋째, 동학의 유아 존중 사상은 ‘인간은 태어나면서부터 평등하다’는 동학의 인간 존중주의에서 출발한다. 동학의 유아 존중 사상, 특히 해월의 사상은 근대 우리나라 유아교육 발전에 큰 역할을 담당하였다. 이는 천도교의 실천운동인 어린이 운동으로 발전하였다. 지금도 많은 유아교육 연구가에 의해 동학의 유아 존중 사상은 그 의미와 연구의 외연이 확대되고 있다.
