The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among five years olds′ language ability, hot executive function, and peer relationships. The subjects were 175 five years olds, and their mean ages were 78.32 months. ‘Construction Meaning Comprehension’, ‘Hot Executive Function Task’, and ‘The Penn Interactive Peer Play Scales’ were used in the collection of data. It used Pearson’s correlation and Multi-Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of this study are as follows; First, there were positive correlations between children’s language ability and hot executive function. Second, there were positive correlations between children’s language ability and peer relations. Third, it was revealed that hot executive function was found as a predictive variables for effecting children’s language ability, and peer relations were additional predictive variables. Fourth, related to the sub elements of the variables, sticker search task of the hot executive function and play interaction of the peer relations were predictive variables for effecting children’s language ability.

본 연구는 만 5세 유아의 언어능력과 정서실행기능 그리고 또래상호작용 간의 관계성을 분석하고 유아의 정서실행기능과 또래상호작용이 언어능력에 미치는 영향을 밝히는데 있다. 연구대상은 유아교육기관에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 총 175명이었으며, 평균 월령은 78.32개월이었다. ‘구문의미이해력검사’, ‘정서실행기능’, ‘PIPPS’ 검사도구들을 통해 연구자료를 수집하였고 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관과 단계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과, 유아의 언어능력과 정서실행기능, 또래상호작용 간에 정적상관이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 전체 언어능력을 가장 강력하게 예측한 변인은 정서실행기능으로 나타났고 이어서 또래상호작용이 추가적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 또한 하위요인별로 분석한 결과 정서실행기능의 하위 과제인 스티커 찾기 과제가 가장 강력한 예측변인으로 나타났으며 또래 상호작용의 하위영역인 놀이상호작용이 추가적 예측변인으로 나타났다.
