This study was conducted to translate and validate Inventory of Children's Activities-3(ICA-3) with a Korean sample. ICA-3 is a measure to assess children's interests using a list of 30 activities familiar to children in their everyday life. ICA-3 is revised from the ICA-R to minimize gender differences, especially for the scales measuring Investigative and Social interests. Participants were 266 5th- and 6th- elementary school students in Korea. The results of the study are as follows. First, The item analyses and factor analysis were conducted to assess the factor structure as well as the adequacy of response for items. As a result, item 9 of artistic type was deleted, and the remaining 29 items were included in the Korean ICA-3. The factor analysis with 29 items resulted in six factors, approximately equivalent to six interest types. The result of the factor analysis was interpreted as related to the cultural equivalence of the items and children's interest structure. Second, The result of the correlation analysis of ICA-3 with career interest inventory and general self-efficacy scale showed statistically significant correlations, which was interpreted as an evidence of criterion-related validity of the inventory. Third, the analysis of mean difference between genders showed that males scored higher on Realistic and Investigative interests, while females scored higher on Artistic and Enterprising interests. There was no gender difference found in Social and Conventional interests. R and I were frequent interest types for males, while A and E were frequent interest types for females. The implications of the current study and suggestions for the future research were described.

이 연구에서는 아동이 일상생활에서 흔히 접하는 활동을 통해 아동의 진로흥미를 평가하는 아동활동검사 3판(ICA-3)을 한국어로 번역하고 타당화하였다. 아동활동검사는 아동이 자주 접하는 활동 30문항에 대하여 아동이 좋아하는 정도를 평가한 후 그 결과에 따라 아동의 흥미유형을 RIASEC으로 평가하는 검사이다. 아동활동검사의 타당화를 위해 초등학교 5,6학년 266명을 대상으로 검사를 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 문항별 통계, 신뢰도 분석, 요인분석 결과 등을 종합한 결과 A유형에 속한 문항9는 적합하지 않다고 판단하여 제외하고, 최종적으로 RIASEC에 해당하는 6요인 29문항(예술형 4문항, 다른 흥미유형은 각 5문항)을 최종문항으로 선정하였다. 이론적으로 주어진 흥미유형에 속하는 문항들이 통계적으로도 모두 같은 유형에만 속하는 것으로 분석되지는 않아 이를 아동의 흥미구조 및 문화적 배경과 관련해 해석하였다. 아동활동검사와 기존의 진로유형검사, 일반적 자기효능감 검사와의 상관분석 결과 모두 유의미한 상관이 나타나 아동활동검사의 타당도가 확인되었다고 볼 수 있다. 최종 문항을 사용해 흥미유형별 점수의 성별차이를 보면 R과 I유형에서 남자의 점수가, A와 E유형에서 여자의 점수가 높았으며, S와 C유형에서는 성별 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 흥미유형은 남자는 R과 I유형이, 여자는 A와 E 유형이 많이 나타났다. 연구의 결과가 상담 및 연구에 주는 시사점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 기술되었다.
