An organization is formed by groups of individuals with various interests, and the limited positions and resources of the organization force its members to engage in political behaviors, such as competitions, conflicts, and negotiations. If a political situation occurs between members or teams due to school ties or personal connections, it could influence organizational attitude and behavior of the members. Those members of the organization who experience organizational politics are likely to take passive reactions, such as experiencing a sense of frustration or job dissatisfaction, all of which could eventually bring about active reactions including absence and turnover. The purpose of this study is to review and to investigate the impact of airline flight attendant’s perception of organizational politics on turnover intention and the moderating role of political skill. This study aimed to explore the relationships among perception of organizational politics, turnover intention, political skill of the airline flight attendants. In addition, it tries to find out the moderating effects that the political skill have contributed to perception of organizational politics and turnover intention. In total, 260 questionnaires were distributed and 237 valid and complete questionnaires were collected for empirical data analysis. For the analysis of data, descriptive statistics and multi variate statistics were utilized by using SPSS 19.0 for Windows. At the very first, construct validity was verified by exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis was made to verify the reliability of the measurement scales through Cronbach's alpha coefficients. Next frequency analysis was used for examining the distribution of demographic variables. Lastly, regression analysis was utilized in order to investigate cause-and-effect relationship for the verification of research hypotheses, path analysis was made. The results from the empirical study shows that 1) perception of organizational politics has positive impact on turnover intention and 2) political skill has moderating role between perception of organizational politics and turnover intention. The results of this research shows that for competitive advantage under the competitive environment of the airline, in addition to human resource management and organizational management, the management system which emphasizes the importance of airline flight attendant’s perception of organizational politics and the political skill among company members should be built.

조직은 다양한 이해관계를 가진 집단들에 의해 구성되며 조직 내 자원의 유한성 및 제한된 지위 는 구성원들의 경쟁, 갈등 등의 정치적 행동을 불가피하게 만든다. 이러한 조직정치현상이 발생한다면 구성원들의 조직에 대한 태도 및 행동에 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 조직에 있어서 조직정치를 경험하게 되는 조직구성원들은 좌절이나 직무불만족 등의 소극적인 반응은 물론 결근, 이직 등의 적극적인 반응을 초래하여 조직유효성에 저해되는 중요한 문제를 일으키게 되고 부정적 감정을 지니게 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 항공사의 조직관리와 인적자원관리 측면에서 조직정치지각과 이직의도의 인과관계를 밝히고, 정치적 기술의 조절효과를 밝힘으로써 중요성을 인식시키고 관리자들에게 새로운 경영관리 방향을 제시하고자 하는 목적으로 수행하였다. 본 연구는 조직정치지각이 이직의도에 미치는 영향과 두 변수의 관계에 정치적 기술의 조절효과를 검증하는 그 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 대형항공사 2곳의 객실승무원을 대상으로 2015년 10월 15일부터 약 40일간 설문조사 실시하였다. 설문지는 총 260부를 배포하여 245부가 회수되었으며 그 중 응답이 불성실한 8부를 제외한 총 237부가 분석에 사용되었다. 자료처리는 Windows용 SPSS 19.0을 활용하여 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하여 구성타당도 검증을 하였으며, Cronbach's α 계수를 활용한 신뢰도 분석을 실시하였다. 다음으로 빈도분석을 실시하였고, 최종적으로 연구 가설 검증을 위해 회귀분석을 실시하여 수립된 가설의 채택과 기각 여부를 판단하였다. 실증분석의 결과 첫째, 항공사 객실 승무원이 지각한 조직정치는 이직의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조직정치지각과 이직의도의 관계에서 정치적 기술은 부분적인 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 항공사의 인적자원관리와 조직관리 있어 조직정치와 이직의도의 부정적인 결과를 정치적 기술이 감소시킬 수 있는 중요한 역할을 한다는 새로운 방향을 시사하는 결과라고 할 수 있다.
