The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of fear of school violence on the effects of academic stress, school atmosphere, family communication on school violence in adolescence. The survey was conducted among 269 middle school students in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The results of this study are as follows. First, The result of this study showed a significant positive association in school violence, academic stress, fear of school violence and significant negative association in school violence, school atmosphere, family communication. Second, the influence of school violence on fear of school violence were a significant positive association. Third, the mediation effects of fear of school violence on relation between school atmosphere and family communication were tested by. Structural equation modeling analysis, it was supported mediation of fear of school violence between school atmosphere and family communication and school violence. In the conclusion, the significance of study and implication were discussed.

본 연구는 학업스트레스, 학교분위기, 가족의사소통이 청소년의 학교폭력 피, 가해경험에 미치는 영향을 학교폭력 불안의 매개효과와 함께 알아보고자 광주광역시 소재 중학교에 재학중인 청소년 269명을 대상으로 질문지법을 이용해 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학교폭력 피해경험과 학교폭력 가해경험은 학업 스트레스, 학교폭력불안과 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈고 학교 분위기, 가족의사소통과 부적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 학교폭력피해경험과 학교폭력가해경험은 높은 정적인 상관관계를 나타냈다. 둘째, 학교분위기가 좋을수록 학교폭력 피해경험과 가해경험이 낮아지고 학교폭력불안이 높을수록 학교폭력 피해경험과 가해경험이 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학업 스트레스, 학교 분위기, 가족의사소통이 학교폭력 피해경험과 가해경험에 미치는 영향에서 학교폭력불안에 따른 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 학교폭력불안은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 청소년의 학교폭력 피해경험을 예방하고 학교폭력 가해경험을 감소시키기 위한 실천적 제언을 하였다.
