To show Korean historic sites and cultural heritage to foreign tourists, the role of a guide book is very important. Because guide books are convenient means providing information that makes Chinese tourists understand Korean culture, and also play a role like a diplomat who introduces our culture to them. In this article, Chinese translated text of Chinese guide books and guide boards made in Andong city is analysed. There were a few articles on fallacies of the translated text (English and the second foreign language) of guide books introducing tourist resorts, but it was only recently that the academic circles are officially interested in these problems and release articles related to them. During the course of analysing the translation fallacy, unexpectedly, many fallacies are found in Korean text and it also affected fallacies of translated text. So, in the body, 'Fallacy of Original Language Text and Translation Problems' is separated as one chapter, and Korean syntactic structure and meaning fallacies are intensively dealt with. In chapter 3 dealing with ‘Translation Fallacy of Guide Books and Guide Boards’, the problems of Korean text are partly dealt with. Almost every guide book such as "The Capital of Korean Spiritual Culture, Andong" and "Confucian Land" has many translation fallacies. Especially, in the guide book published by Advanced Center for Korean Studies, many Korean expressions consist of too long sentences and they are hard to understand. Naturally, many fallacies are bound to come out in translation. Also, it is checked out that Korean text is needed for the translation supervision from experts. Although the role of guide board installed at the entrance of 'Dosan Sewon' is more important than that of guide books, there are many translation fallacies in the guide board. After completing translation, translation supervision is also needed when the guide boards are installed. Both small and big fallacies in translation can do harm to the image of the historic sites. Therefore, the organs concerned should pay special attention to making and managing guide books and guide boards, and ask necessarily to supervise the text translation from experts.

외국인 관광객에게 우리의 유적지와 전통문화를 잘 보여주기 위해서는 안내책자의 역할이중요하다. 안내책자는 중국인들이 우리 문화를 이해할 수 있도록 정보를 제공하는 편의 시설이자 관광객에게 우리 문화를 소개하는 외교관 역할을 하기 때문이다. 이 논문에서는 안동시에서 제작한 중국어 안내책자와 안내판의 중국어 번역텍스트에 대해 분석하였다. 관광지를 소개하는 안내책자의 번역텍스트(영어 및 제2외국어) 오류와 관련한 논문은 이전부터 간혹 있었지만, 학계에서 본격으로 관심을 갖고 글로써 발표한 것은 최근의 일이다. 번역 오류를 분석하다보니 의외로 한국어 원어텍스트에서 오류가 많았고, 이로 인해 번역텍스트의 오류에도 영향을 미쳤다. 그래서 본문에서는 ‘원어텍스트의 오류와 번역 문제’를 별도로 하나의 장(章)으로 분류하여, 여기에서 한국어의 통사구조나 의미 오류를 집중적으로 다루었다. ‘안내판/안내책자의 번역 오류’를 다룬 3장에서도 번역 오류를 분석하기 위해 자연스럽게 한국어 원어텍스트의 문제점을 일부 다루었다.『한국정신문화의 수도, 안동』, 『유교랜드』등 거의 모든 안내책자에서 오류가 나타났다. 특히 한국국학진흥원에서 제작한 안내책자에는 우리말 표현이 장문(長文)에다 난삽하였다. 당연히 번역에도 오류가 많이 나올 수밖에 없다. 한국어 원어텍스트도 전문가의 감수가 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다. ‘도산서원’의 입구에설치한 안내판의 역할은 안내책자보다 더 중요함에도 불구하고 번역 오류가 많았다. 번역 완성 후 안내판 설치 단계까지 번역 감수가 필요하다. 번역상의 크고 작은 오류는 유적지의 이미지에도 손상을 끼칠 수 있다. 그렇기 때문에 관계 기관에서는 안내책자와 안내판의 제작과 관리에 신중을 기해야 하고, 반드시 전문가에게게감수를 의뢰해야 한다.
