The purpose of the study was to develop for educational model of elementary school for Jeonnam islands and remote rural areas. The study was carried out through review of literature, related research materials, and consultative meeting with professionals.
The educational model contains Jeonnam office of education, regional office of education, educational university, elementary school, and community etc. Jeonnam office of education plans an educational policy for elementary school in Jeonnam islands and remote rural areas. Regional office of education analyzes the needs of community, compiles elementary curriculum, and supports the elementary education for islands and remote rural areas. Elementary school manages curriculum by educational plan, makes up the educational conditions such as manpower and environment. And Educational university manages curriculum for cultivation of elementary school teacher.
This model will present a direction of elementary education for Jeonnam islands and remote rural areas, consitute positively educational environment in elementary school through the connection of educational university, office of education, community etc. Also, it will manage regional curriculum suitable to Jeonnam islands and remote rural areas, can promote the basic learning ability of elementary school students.
