The purpose of this study is to analyze the research collaborative characteristics of academics at elementary and secondary teacher education institutes in Korea. For this analysis, 1,668 Korean CItation Index(KCI) articles published from 2010 to 2012 were collected and analyzed. The results of analysis showed that the academics at elementary and secondary teacher education institutes published collaborative articles more than independent ones and such collaboration was made more active with graduate students or schoolteachers than with fellow academics. Also, research topics such as studies on school leadership, research trend, parents, and local community were more likely to be covered in a collaborative research. Based on the results, implications are followings. First, further support is needed in order to encourage an active collaboration among academics. Second, university’s institutional supports as well as academics’ individual efforts are necessary to enhance a collaborative research in certain topics.

이 연구는 초·중등 교육의 연계가 잘 이루어지기 위해서는 초등 및 중등 교원양성기 관 교수의 연구 협력이 선행되어야 한다는 문제의식 아래, 그들의 연구 협력 실태를 분 석하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구 실적 중 ‘학술지 논문’으로 분석 대상의 범위를 한정하고 24개의 한국연구재단 등재 학술지의 최근 3년간(2010년～2012년) 발표된 논문 총 3,058편 중에서 교대 및 사대 교수가 저자로 참여한 연구 논문 1,668편을 수집하였 다. 분석 결과, 교대 및 사대 교수들은 단독 연구에 비해 협력 연구를 더 많이 수행하였 고, 협력 연구의 경우 교수들 간 이루어지기보다 대학원생이나 교육공무원과 협력하는 비율이 더 높았다. 한편 교장(리더십), 연구동향, 학부모 및 지역사회 등 특정 연구주제 에서 협력 연구의 비율이 높게 나타났다. 분석 결과를 토대로 연구의 시사점을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 교대 및 사대 교수들은 주로 교육공무원이나 대학원생과 공동 연구를 하는 추세이며 추후 교대 및 사 대 교수 상호 간 협력 연구가 더 장려될 필요가 있다. 둘째, 특정 주제에 관한 협력 연 구가 원활히 이루어지도록 연구자 개인 차원에서의 노력 뿐 아니라 기관 차원에서의 적 극적인 지원 방식이 고려될 필요가 있다. 기존의 선행 연구에서 대학 교수들의 연구 협 력에 대한 실태 파악이 거의 이루어진 바 없다는 점에서 이 연구는 연구 성과 향상 방 안 등 추후 연구의 기초 자료로서 의의가 크다. 이 연구 결과가 의미 있게 활용되기 위 해서는 단순 실태 분석을 넘어 그 현상의 원인이 무엇인지에 대한 후속 연구가 심층적 으로 이루어질 필요가 있다.
