School education is mainly group education in the face-to-face format, and it is difficult for students to study in the middle of the summer and winter vacation. Therefore, the vacation periods could cause students some personal studying gaps since they stop studying, have supplementary learning or take experiential programs during those vacations. Moreover, teaching in school is scarcely successful just before and after vacations due to holiday atmosphere, and thus teaching in those periods could be incomplete. Recently, e-Learning based on the Internet receives its fame with many advantages, while the importance of group education is also emphasized. Therefore, it becomes popular that blended learning combines the advantages of both group education and e-Learning, and furthermore, the relevant research is very active and successful in these days. This research is based on this situation. The objective of our research is to reorganize a computer course in middle school into a blended learning that has advantages of group education and e-Learning. It makes possible for students to proceed education with basic group education before the vacation, to receive the part of the next course through e-Learning during the vacation and finally to get training of the last part after the vacation. We conclude that education during the vacation using blended learning can increase educational continuity and make school education efficient just before and after vacations. It also improves educational achievement through combining efficiently the educational methods of off-line and on-line.

방학동안 학습자들은 학습을 정지하거나, 보충을 받거나, 체험학습을 하는 등 개인차가 많이 발생하 게 된다. 또한 방학으로 인해 방학 직전․직후의 학습은 학습의 연장선이 되기 힘들며, 이 기간의 학습 내용도 부실해지기 쉽다. 최근 들어 집합교육과 e-Learning 학습의 장점을 접목시킨 Blended-Learning 학습이 효과적이라는 목소리가 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 상황에 맞추어 Blended-Learning의 원리로 방학 전 집합교육으로 기초를 다지고, 방학 중 일부기간동안 e-Learning을 통해 차시 학습을 진행하고, 개학 후 집합교육으로 다음 차시의 학습을 받을 수 있도록 교육과정을 재구성하여 적용하였다. Blended-Learning을 이용한 방학 중 학습 은 학습자에게 학습 지속력을 높이고 방학 전․후의 학습을 충실하게 진행할 수 있었고, 학업성취도를 향상 시켜주었다.
