The purpose of this study is the empirical analysis of the relationship between lifelong learning and happiness to derive its influence. For this I analyzed the relationship between participation in lifelong learning and happiness by utilizing the measurements taken in the national and international organizations, lifelong learning status survey and happiness index materials. Adult Lifelong Learning Survey data of Korea and Education at a Glance (EAG) data, OECD Your Better Life Index measured results were used. As a result, participation rate in lifelong learning and the happiness index was a positive linear relationship, the correlation coefficient between the two variables showed a high correlation to 0.657. As a result of analyzing the relationship between participation rate in lifelong learning and each dimension of happiness index, participation rate in lifelong learning, environment, life satisfaction, jobs, education showed a high correlation with the order. To examine the relationship between participation rate in lifelong learning and the happiness index of each dimension, set as the independent variable defined participation rate in lifelong learning, as dependent variable defined environment, life satisfaction, jobs, education regression analysis was carried out and the results presented.

본 연구의 목적은 평생학습과 행복 간의 관계를 실증적으로 분석하여 그 영향 관계를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 국가 및 국제기구 등에서 측정한 평생학습실태 조사 결과와 행복지수 자료들을 활용하여 평생학습 참여와 행복 간의 영향 관계를 분석하고자 하였 다. 분석대상으로 한국 성인의 평생학습실태 조사 결과와 OECD 교육지표(EAG) 데이터, OECD의 Your Better Life Index 측정 결과를 활용하였다. 국가별 평생학습 참여율과 행복지수는 양의 선형관계에 있음을 확인할 수 있었는데, 상관분석 결과 두 변수 간 상관계수는 .657로 높은 상관관계를 나타내고 있었다. 또한 평생학습 참여율과 행복지수의 각 차원 간의 영향관계를 분석하였는데, 상관분석 결과 평생학습 참여율은 환경, 주관적 행복, 직업과 임금, 교육 순으로 높은 상관관계를 나타 내고 있었다. 평생학습 참여율과 행복지수 각 차원 사이의 관계를 알아보기 위해 평생학 습 참여율을 설명변수로 평생학습 참여율과 상관관계가 높게 나타난 환경, 주관적 행복, 직업과 임금, 교육 등의 각 차원 점수를 종속변수로 하여 회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과를 제시하였다.
