The influence of the valuation oriented discussion activities for introvertive preschooler, based on Dewey's Reflective Inquiry Learning

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the valuation oriented discussion activities based on Dewey's reflective inquiry learning, on social skill of the social withdrawal or passive children. For the research object, 12 children (Male:8, Female:4) in the age group 5, evaluated as passive children were selected among 2 classes. The 'reflective inquiry learning' based valuation oriented discussion was implemented 10 times within 10 weeks on objective children. In order to verify the effectiveness, children's social skill examinations were pre- and post- implemented and analyzed. As a result, the 'reflective thinking process' based valuation oriented discussion appears to have positive effects on children's social skill improvement. Therefore, this research proposes the baseline data for the plan preparation that supports the relationship of children who have tendency of introversion or passiveness.
