The study will grope plans to make marathon contests of tourist resources suitable to domestic situation by grasping an effect of their participants’ lifestyle on their participants’ satisfaction on the basis of the necessity of such a research. To perform such a research, the study distributed questionnaires to members of marathon clubs and collected those from them from October 4, 2012 to November 16, 2012. Also, the study carried out frequency analysis, factor analysis and regression analysis with SPSS 13.0. Summarizing the results of the study followed by positive analysis, they are as follows. First, a lot of participants decided contest participation as a means to express themselves and to disclose their individualities in an effect of participants’ lifestyle on contest participation satisfaction and had high satisfaction when they had an ardent wish for healthy body and mind and invested in health. Second, the contest participation satisfaction had a lot of effects on re-participation intention hereafter, which is used to be a means deciding re-participation intention of yearly opened contests on the basis of satisfaction in the contests participated by them.

본 연구는 스포츠이벤트 참가자의 라이프스타일이 참가만족도에 미치는 요인을 파 악하여 국내 실정에 맞는 마라톤대회의 관광자원화 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구를 수행하기 위하여 2012년 10월 4일부터 11월 16일까지 마라톤동호회를 중심 으로 설문지를 배포, 수거하여 SPSS 13.0을 통해 빈도분석, 요인분석, 회귀분석 등을 실시하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 참가자의 라이프스타일이 대회 참가 만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어서 자신을 표현하고 개성을 표출하는 수단으로서 대회참가를 결정하는 경우가 많았고, 건 강한 심신의 열망과 건강에 대한 투자가 있을 때 만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 대회 참가 만족도는 추후 재참가 의도에 높은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는 데, 이는 자신이 참가한 대회에서의 만족을 바탕으로 매년 열리는 대회의 재참가의도 를 결정하는 수단으로 사용하는 것으로 판단된다.
