The purpose of this study is to identify the changes in the attitude of elementary school students toward work during the School Garden Experiences and the factors influencing those changes. Research questions set to achieve the goals of this study were as follows: First, what are the changes in the attitude of elementary school students toward work during the School Garden Experiences and what are the characteristics of these changes? Second, what are the factors influencing the attitude change of elementary school students toward work during the school garden experiences?The subjects of this study were elementary 5th Grade 28students and School Garden Experiences mean the program of 28 sessions in total. Data were collected through video recording, observation recording and interviewing. The data collected were analyzed through transcription, integration and categorization. When analyzing the changes in the attitude of elementary school students toward work during the School Garden Experiences, it was found that they saw the work with knowledge searching attitude not by simple curiosity and their attitudes were changed from sloppiness to skillfulness, from pains to joy, from alone to together The factors influencing such changes in the attitude were analyzed as experiences, knowledge, praise, encouragement, environments and preference to work and products.

이 연구의 목적은 학교 텃밭 체험이 진행되는 동안 초등학생의 일에 대한 태도가 어떻게 변화되며 그 변화에 영향을 미치는 원인은 무엇인지 밝히는데 있다. 이 연구의 목적을 실현하기 위한 연구 문제는, 첫째, 학교 텃밭 체험에서 초등학생의 일에 대한 태도는 어떻게 변화되어 가며 변화 특성은 어떠한가? 둘째, 학교 텃밭 체험에서 초등학생의 일에 대한 태도 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가? 이다. 연구 대상은 초등학교 5학년 학생 28명이며, 학교 텃밭 체험은 총 28차시의 프로그램을 의미한다. 자료수집 방법은 비디오 녹화, 관찰 기록지 작성, 면담 등이다. 수집된 자료는 전사, 통합, 범주화 과정을 통해 분석하였다. 학교 텃밭 체험에서 나타나는 초등학생의 일에 대한 태도 변화를 분석한 결과는 단순 호기심에서 지적 탐구의 자세로, 어설픔에서 능숙함으로, 힘겨움에서 즐거움으로, 혼자가 아닌 함께이다. 이러한 일에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 경험과 지식, 칭찬과 격려, 환경, 일과 재배물에 대한 선호도로 분석되었다. 이 연구 결과를 통해서 학교 텃밭 체험 활동이 초등학생의 인지적, 정의적, 기능적 성장에 기여함을 알 수 있었다.
