The purpose of this study was to suggest theoretical and practical implications on career education and career decision for university students through theoretical study and comparison analysis of research results from career decision self-efficacy. For this purpose, specific research question and method was the searching for the concept and traits of career decision self-efficacy, and related career decision theory. Meanwhile, some implications on employment and career area were attempted through theoretical study and previous research results. Most students of Korea are wandering and conflicting on their career path after entering university because they chose their majors in accordance with their academic grades regardless of their aptitudes and interests. Therefore, the important goal of university's career education is helping self-directed career decision and preparing for their own careers. In these respects, the career decision self-efficacy which gives confidence on handling career tasks can be a starting point to solve career problems of university students' career decision. According to the concept, social cognitive career theory, and previous research results of the career decision self-efficacy, the career development programs for university students are effectual to develop the career decision self-efficacy which also effects to the career search behavior or career preparation behavior. With based on these theoretical study and comparison analysis of research results, the six theoretical and practical implications are presented for university students' career decision and employment and career area.

본 연구는 대학생의 진로결정자기효능감에 관한 이론적 고찰 및 연구성과의 비교분석을 통하여 대 학생들의 진로교육과 진로결정에 도움을 줄 수 있는 이론적, 실제적 시사점을 제시하는데 연구의 목적 을 두었다. 이를 위한 구체적인 연구문제와 연구방법으로는 진로결정자기효능감에 대한 개념 및 특성 과 관련 진로이론을 탐색하는 한편, 지금까지 이루어진 국내·외 선행연구 결과를 문헌고찰을 통하여 살 펴봄으로써 취업진로분야에 필요한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 우라나라의 대학생들은 대학입학당시부터 본인의 적성이나 흥미와는 무관하게 성적에 맞추어 대학 과 학과를 선택함에 따라 입학이후 진로에 대하여 갈등하고 방황하는 경우가 많다. 따라서 대학생들이 자기 주도적으로 진로를 결정하고 진로를 준비하도록 하는 것이 대학 진로교육의 중요한 목표가 된다. 이러한 점에서 대학생 본인의 진로결정과 관련된 과제들을 성공적으로 해낼 수 있는 확신차원에서 진 로결정자기효능감은 진로문제 해결을 위한 출발점이 된다. 진로결정자기효능감에 관한 개념, 사회인지진로이론 및 선행 연구성과의 비교분석에 따르면 대학생 을 위한 진로개발 프로그램은 진로결정자기효능감 개발에 유효한 효과를 발휘하는 것으로 나타났고, 진로결정자기효능감은 진로탐색행동이나 진로준비행동에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 이론적 고찰 및 연구성과의 비교분석 결과를 토대로 대학생의 진로결정 및 취업진로분야에 필 요한 이론적, 실제적 시사점을 6가지로 정리하여 제시하였다.
