During the past decade people have continued the interest in social welfare, the social enterprise have been the subject of increasing attention. In korea, the social enterprise has widened dramatically as evidenced by increasing numbers of establishment since 2007. The social enterprise is an organization unit to achieve social objectives by various economic approach, but these still are not accomplished the financial independence from supports of government and commercial firms. To aim the success of social enterprise, this study introduce the Kunhwa's social enterprise case as the new business model of social enterprises. The Kunhwa's social enterprise is the vocational education institute for SMEs in Changwon. This enterprise can help to solve not only the financial independence of social enterprises but also the labor force shortage of SMEs.

본 연구는 사회적기업이 갖고 있는 난제 중 하나인 경제적 자립의 어려움을 해결할 수 있는 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 사회적기업은 국가마다의 복지정책의 상이성으로 인하여 다양한 발생배경을 갖고 있는데, 국내의 경우에는 취약계층의 일자리를 창출하거나 이들이 필요로 하는 사회적 서비스를 제공하려는 목적으로 설립되어 2007년부터 정부의 주도로 급속한 발전을 이루고 있다. 2013년 현재 801개의 사회적기업이 정부로부터 인증받을 정도로 양적인 성장을 이루었지만, 사회적 목적을 강조한 나머지 경제적 자립은 미약한 반쪽짜리 성공에 머무르고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ㈜건화가 추진하는 사회적기업 사례를 사회적기업의 경제적 자립기반을 확보할 수 있는 새로운 비즈니스 모델로 소개하였다. ㈜건화의 사회적기업은 중소기업의 맞춤형 인력을 제공하는 직업교육훈련 전문기관으로, 기업은 지속적으로 특화된 역량을 가진 인력을 공급받을 수 있고 사회적기업은 교육훈련을 통하여 안정적인 수익을 확보할 수 있다. 본 사례는 지역사회의 취약계층의 일자리 부족과 함께 중소기업의 인력난, 그리고 사회적기업의 경제적 자립기반 취약의 문제를 동시에 해결할 수 있는 새로운 비즈니스 모델로 의의가 있다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 ㈜건화가 직업교육훈련 전문 사회적기업을 추진하게 된 계기 및 과정, 추후 과제들을 살펴보고자 하였다.
