Evaluation of usefulness of Spirulina-PCL Nanofiber for skin tissue therapy

초록

영어

Skin tissue is the most important that exists outside of the human body, its primary defense. According as it is necessary to skin regeneration study. Tissue engineering is a fascinating study that can regenerate the damaged tissues or create artificial organs. The important point for making artificial tissue is cell viability, proliferation and infiltration in the scaffolds. However, three-dimensional tissue culture has various drawbacks such as mass and gas transfer and high cell density. Stressed cells produce more reactive oxygen species(ROS) than normal cells, which is a negative effect on cell activity and viability. Spirulina has an antioxidant substance, which controlled an oxidative stress in the cell. Electrospun nanofiber is widely used to mimic an extracellular matrix (ECM). In this experiments, spirulina extract-imbedded nanofiber for artificial skin tissue is evaluated an usefulness, and we confirmed the proliferation and cell survival through culture of fibroblast of the rat with spirulina extract. Also, we have evaluated the penetration of the fibroblast into spirulina-extract nanofiber. Resultingly, spirulina-extract nanofiber is evaluated the usefulness for aritificial tissue.
