Past research in BI has an interest in critical factors of success for BI. They assert that BI Manager is a major factors in operating system of BI. But a research of BI Manager is few. And a research of BI's maintenance and expansion is few too. The purposes of this research are to analyze the impact of characteristics of BI Manager on the maintenance and expansion of Business Incubator. For this study, the data were gathered from the establish of venture business in Seoul, Gyunggi, Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju province through the questionnaires. Research hypothesis were examined based on the gathered data. the data for this research was collected for 238 BI Manager utilizing the sampling method after analysis of the data in terms of ML(maximum Likelihood) procedure in AMOS 12.0 was used and the major results are summarized as follows; First, characteristics of BI Manager is estimated high by himself and tenant firms. Second, reform and increase of supporting programing in BI is estimated low by tenant firms and BI Manager. This means deficiency of improvement of BI that is expected by tenant firms. Only increase of self-supporting rate in budget is estimated positive by tenant firms and BI Manager. Especially BI Manager estimated high. Third, a sense of mission and capabilities of knowledge contributed to the growth and performance of BI itself. We found that it is important to entrepreneurs' traits of BI manager for the maintenance and expansion of Business Incubator.

본 연구는 최근 들어 고용 없는 성장 및 청년 실업률이 높아지면서 기술을 기반으로 한 창업의 산실인 창업보육센터의 역할이 중요시 되고 있으며 양적으로 많은 성장을 하고 있다. 그러나 효과적인 역할 수행을 위한 체계적인 연구는 아직 미흡하며 창업보육센터의 지원서비스가 입주기업의 성공에 얼마나 효과적으로 기여하고 있는가에 대한 체계적인 연구가 부족하고 창업보육센터 내에 많은 입주업체들의 경영성과를 향상시키기 위해 어떤 요소들을 중심으로 어떤 활동을 진행해야 하는지에 대하여 도움을 줄 수 있는 연구들은 매우 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 창업보육센터 매니저의 특성이 지원서비스와 창업보육센터 입주기업 경영성과에 미치는 영향요인을 실증적으로 분석함으로써, 창업보육센터 입주기업들의 성과향상을 위한 매니저의 역량을 중심으로 어떤 활동을 수행해야 하는지에 대한 방향성에 대한 제시하고 한다. 또한 기존 선행연구를 토대로 창업보육센터의 특성요인을 추출하고 이들 요인이 입주기업의 경영성과에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 창업보육센터의 효율적 운영방향과 정책방향을 수립하는데 기여함은 물론 창업보육센터 평가모델의 개발에도 기여하고자 한다.
