The purpose of this study was inquiry ways that justify abolition of admission practical test on college of physical education. In order to inquiry into justification of abolition of admission practical test. We studied justification grounds of admission practical test on college of physical education. After this study, we criticized justification grounds. The result of this study is as follows. First, it is a problem of basic scholastic ability. Because of physical education as consilience science is required the basis of academic ability. Second, it is the issue of advertisement for student. because of difficult to recruit students. Third, the problem of the practical knowledge education. because of practical classes dont well. Fourth, it is problem of admission school on college of physical education. because of private education is expensive. Fifth, it is a problem of public education. because of formal lessons in high school. Physical education should have to enhance social status by strengthening the professionalism and want to be able to receive appropriate treatment. So we can expect the development of the study, along with self-esteem for physical education.

이 연구의 목적은 체육대학 입학실기시험의 재검토를 통해서 체육대학 입학실기시험의 폐지론을 정당화 하려는데 있다. 이를 위하여 체육대학 입학실기시험의 필요성에 대한 반박을 통해서 폐지론을 정당화하는 방안을 찾아보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기초학력의 문제이다. 통섭학문인 체육학을 학습하기 위해서는 기초학력이 요구된다. 둘째, 학생모집의 문제이다. 수학능력만으로 학생을 뽑아도 학생들의 지원은 감소하지 않을 것으로 보인다. 현행과 마찬가지로 학생모집에는 어려움이 없을 것이다. 셋째, 실기수업의 문제이다. 체육계열학과를 지원하는 학생들은 운동에 대한 관심이 높고 운동을 즐겨한다는 것을 전제한다면 입학 후에 실기수업을 따라가는 것은 문제가 되지 않는다. 넷째, 체대입시학원의 문제이다. 각 연령층에 맞는 맞춤형 생활체육 지도로 학원의 방향을 선회하면 해결될 수 있는 문제이다. 다섯째, 공교육의 문제이다. 학교체육만으로 체육계열학과를 입학할 수 있는 정상화된 학교체육이 요구된다. 앞의 주장들에 대한 비판적 성찰을 통해서 체육계열학과 입학실기시험을 폐지하려는 의도는 체육학에서 필요한 수학능력을 높이고, 전문성을 강화하여 사회에서 체육인의 사회적 지위와 그에 맞는 대우를 받을 수 있도록 하려는데 있다. 그래야 체육인에 대한 자긍심과 더불어 학문의 발전도 기대할 수 있다.
