The purpose of this study was to explore what characteristics the Korean education has under the condition of colonial rule, and at the same time to historically consider Korean language textbooks during Japanese colonial rule in the aspect of textbook history through the policy and status of Korean language education targeting Japanese learners during Japanese colonial rule. For this, the historical research significance in the analysis of Korean language textbooks targeting Japanese learners during Japanese colonial rule was divided and presented 1) in the dimension of language and literature education textbook history and 2) in the dimension of individual grammar unit. And this study explored the possibility of analyzing Korean language textbooks targeting Japanese learners during Japanese colonial rule restricted to the dimension of public education, 1) in the dimension of whole grammar recognition, 2) in the dimension of describing individual grammar category, and 3) in the dimension of comparison-contrast of Korean language grammar recognition between Korean and Japanese learners. Beginning with this discussion, the analysis of Korean language textbooks targeting Japanese learners during Japanese colonial rule is to be discussed regularly as an area of a contact point for both national language education and Korean language education in the dimension of textbook history.

본 연구의 목적은 일제강점기 일본인을 대상으로 한 조선어교육정책과 실상을 통하여, 식민 지배 상태에서의 한국어 교육이 어떤 특색을 갖고 있는가를 살피는 동시에 교재사적인 측면에서 일제강점기 당시의 조선어 교재를 사적으로 고찰하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 일제 강점기 일본인 대상 조선어 교재 분석의 연구사적 의의를 어문 교육 교재사 차원에서 1) 국어교육 차원과 2) 한국어교육 차원으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 그리고 일제 강점기 일본인 대상 조선어 교재 분석 가능성을 공교육의 차원에 한정해 1) 전체 문법 범주 인식의 차원, 2) 개별 문법 범주 기술의 차원, 3) 조선인과 일본인의 조선어 문법 인식 비교-대조 차원으로 탐색하였다. 이러한 논의를 시작으로 일제 강점기 일본인 대상 조선어 교재 분석 연구가 교재사 차원에서 국어교육과 한국어교육의 접점이 되는 영역으로 본격적으로 논의될 것으로 기대된다.
